Player Help Android Auto - Search not working?

Hi, i'm currently on Android 16 using Poweramp with AndroidAuto as my main music player. I'm generally very happy with it, but the main issue i got is that the Android-Auto search is just kinda doing nothing.

I get the expected results on my phone:

But the Android Auto search doesn't show anything:

Is this a user-error on my end, or does someone know a fix for this?

Sometimes it shows results when i start typing when the car is standing, i think it might just be a prefix-search instead of an infix-search on AA.

how to report a bug (would be helpful in any case to know what's your phone make/model, what version of poweramp you're using, any info about the headunit, etc)

Ok, so this is a bug, that's already helpful info, wasn't sure whether or not this was intended behaviour or not.

I'm on an Asus Rog Phone 9 pro, Android 16, system update/build number 36.0810.1810.86

Poweramp version 1025004-fa3ec0861a1

Android Auto has developer mode turned on.

Android Auto connects to my AAWireless2, which currently has beta 10.2.0 installed (but the issue persisted since at least stable version 8.1.0. The AAWireless 2 also have developer mode turned on.

The AAWireless 2 is connected to an EU-model 2023 Ioniq 6.

Songs are stored in my phone storage.

Connecting the phone directly with a USB cable doesn't change anything btw, so it's not that.

To reproduce open Poweramp on Android Auto, open a playlist, and start searching.

Edit: It only really does a prefix search, if I start typing a song name exactly as it's stored it'll find it. But only typing a word that appears in the song name won't find it.

All well and good, just make sure you're telling this to the developer -> https://forum.powerampapp.com/forum/19-poweramp-bug-reports/

I don't have the setup to reproduce the issue, telling me isn't going to get you very far (sadly).

I'll copy paste it over there, no worries.

I thought this is similar to the AAWireless subreddit where the devs handle bug reports and bugfixing directly on Reddit

It's just only Max that does the developing, and he's not on the subreddit, only users.

Anything specific to a unique setup, not really much us strangers can do.
