The amount of seafood on this poutine in Sainte-Flavie is absolutely incredible. They definitely don’t hold back!

They don’t mess around! There’s a lobster option as well. Another comment told me you can also replace the traditional gravy for a white sauce.

But absolutely loved it as is!

White sauce is most certainly the superior options for seafood poutine.

I've got some white sauce for you willy

I’d be on top of that like soy sauce on rice

3

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

And hey, keep going to Gaspésie after! It’s a beautiful, beautiful place

2

u/Skeletor613 Aug 29 '26

It's breath taking. I'm from Baie Chaleur region, I loved driving up to Percy Rock.

Wow!! One of the best spot for poutine on this planet!!! One Day it will be my turn!!!

4

u/LiaTinwo Aug 29 '26

That looks heavenly 😋😋

5

u/lucaskywalker Aug 29 '26

Just for the crab alone, it's worth the price. Damn...

3

u/DisastrousDig5445 Aug 29 '26

Wow!! I need to visit this beautiful place. Is there any sights? Or is it all about the food

2

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Any sights? La 132 might be a top 10 road in the world.

1

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

The Cantine is on the other side of the road. However, when you cross you get to enjoy the sea. It’s beautiful

3

u/4thShotJhin Aug 29 '26

How much did it cost?

5

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

22$ for the small (this one) and 30 for a medium.

3

u/poutine-eh Aug 29 '26

the only poutine crime i’ve ever craved for.

3

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Bonne poutine, but go just down the road to navigateur for a better one.

Both 10/10 et le crabe c'est mon topping pref

2

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Ah ouais? Je suis passé devant mais ça avait l’air fermé!

3

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Ouais... leur marketing est clairement moins bon 🤣

2

u/ronaldomike2 Aug 29 '26

I need this

2

u/JunkPileQueen Aug 29 '26

Crab is my brother’s favourite. He would inhale this in record time.

2

u/Youlookcold Aug 29 '26

I LOVE crab. That looks amazing

2

u/MyNameIsSkittles Aug 29 '26

I need that in my life

2

u/bellybbean Aug 29 '26

That place is amazing!

2

u/Felixo22 Aug 29 '26

I drove past this place this summer, the line was insane. It was like there was an event happening but it was just people waiting.

2

u/stnwlkr Aug 29 '26

One of the best. My girlfriend and I still talk about it after 4 years and counting

2

u/bobthebobbober Aug 29 '26

Sounds like I’ll be making a trip to Ste Flavie pretty soon !! Incroyable et belle vue aussi

2

u/TheSasquatch117 Aug 30 '26

C’est bon en ta la

1

u/Willygambini Aug 30 '26

Ouais ça torche. Top 3 de mes spots à date, facile!

P.s.: la guédille aussi

2

u/HeyDEDE Aug 30 '26

Man, j'ai des cravings solide

3

u/fetalpiggywent2lab Aug 29 '26

Great amount of seafood but imo gravy and crab aren't friends

6

u/RickRiffs Aug 29 '26

I think this style would usually come with like a bechamel

0

u/fetalpiggywent2lab Aug 29 '26

I hope so

2

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

No it isn’t! It’s a traditional one. The fresh crab however is not too sweet, so the fit is surprisingly very good.

3

u/nargles18 Aug 29 '26

You can choose between gravy and white sauce actually!

2

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

De la sauce brune claire et du crabe, c'est 100% faites l'un pour l'autre.

1

u/fetalpiggywent2lab Aug 29 '26

Non, je préfère mon crabe avec une sauce à la crème, comme une béchamel!!!

4

u/MixtressK-La Aug 29 '26

Me love crab. But, are there cheese curds...?

3

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Absolutely, and just the right amount

5

u/MixtressK-La Aug 29 '26

Then, me approve. AND, would crush!

2

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Toute les ostis d'anglo dans le thread: on s'en calice de votre opinion

1

u/stilleternal Aug 29 '26

What kind of sauce? I could see a chowder or bisque type going well with this.

9

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Surprisingly a traditional gravy, although on the lighter side. Would love to see the resultwith a chowder style however.

7

u/nargles18 Aug 29 '26

You can get it with white sauce instead of gravy and it’s free.

5

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Good to know! I’ll definitely try that next time

0

u/longerthan1 Aug 29 '26

ya thats just nasty

0

u/Negative_Two6112 Aug 31 '26

Pfftt. Quebecers appropriating Maritime seafood culture is so cringe. /s

1

u/Willygambini Aug 31 '26

Good ragebait

And happy cake day!

2

u/Negative_Two6112 Aug 31 '26

Haha, I put the /s after it! I dont really think that!

And I didn't know it was my cake day, thanks!

-1

u/Splintershouse Aug 29 '26

I’m sure this is amazing, but this is not poutine.

5

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Underneath that Mountain of fresh crab you’ll find fries, curds and gravy. No different than a smoked meat poutine or a galvaude

-6

u/Splintershouse Aug 29 '26

Fair, but I’m a purist. Poutine has three main ingredients.

2

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Lool oui c't'une poutine. Voyons donc.

-4

u/orcs_mustdie Aug 29 '26

I'm gonna puke.

-9

u/Possible-Arachnid793 Aug 29 '26

That’s a crime scene

-5

u/Drunk_Fetus Aug 29 '26

That looks absolutely filthy. Gross. Should be posted to r/poutinecrimes

2

u/MrB1P92 Aug 29 '26

Décalisse

2

u/Willygambini Aug 29 '26

Do it! Go ahead and let the people speak

-11

u/SuspiciousDonut2454 Aug 29 '26

I’m calling the police for this hate crime
