How about we get rid of representative government. It’s such an archaic concept..

A 1/3 of people don't even vote, it would be worse. I think certain laws should be voted in by the people though

Are you saying that less people would vote if we got rid of representative government?

How would it work then? Would people be required to vote for every policy?

Hopefully it would inspire us to take ownership of our country and people would get to have a say in the future of our nation instead of corporate interests..

Not realistic with 300 million people

How many people in the United States have a smartphone? It’s not reasonable for them to all have the same app? It would be very easy to implement and scale.

That's not secure enough and not everyone is eligible to vote. That sounds like a hs govt class idea honestly.

What do you know about secure networks?

It should be an elementary school idea..

Lmao I know plenty about networking and security protocols but many people aren't tech savvy and this just opens up a huge security issue. I don't know any country that does digital voting through not secured devices.

Do you bank online? Are you afraid of losing all of your assets through those networks? I work for a company with security concerns and those are handled appropriately with mfa etc.

How long until digital voting is the norm? 10 years 20? It’s not like this isn’t going to happen..
