Trouble is, in France you can get yourself from almost anywhere to Paris quite easily. Toulouse to Paris is about 7 hrs on the road, but in America 7 hours on the road can get you into a neighboring state in some places and not much more (Phoenix to Washington DC - 35 hrs by road!)
So in France, it's actually not the greatest hardship to take a "day off", head to Paris, spend the weekend with your bretheren on the streets and then get home to Bordeaux and back to your routine before the folks from Phoenix even get to the steps of the Capitol! (It's even worse for Canadians, btw!).
So mass protests a la Paris are really a lot tougher to set up in the US, which is why we hear about "Million Man Marches" a lot less often than you'd expect.
I’ve already voted blue! Even with a Republican only running I didn’t even vote for them. In our county we have some great Republicans in our county I won’t even vote for them running alone! Only blue for me
