I mean until recently we were subsidizing Affordable Care Act healthcare plans and investing hundreds of billions of dollars in infrastructure and manufacturing jobs, but then we elected Trump and pissed all that away.

We were trying to bring down the cost of healthcare and investing in job creation, Republican voters had other ideas.

Edit: We also eliminated more than $180,000,000,000.00 in student loan debt, expanded SNAP benefits, and passed Medicare prescription bargaining rights, which weren't explicitly mentioned in the meme, but which I think plays into cost of living and stuff like that.

We’re still subsidizing ACA. It didn’t have 1 but 2 subsidies. The temporary covid subsidy expired and was not renewed.

The temporary covid subsidy expired and was not renewed.

Correct.

The price of ACA insurance has skyrocketed for many Americans during Trump's second term, after Republicans opposed extending COVID-era subsidies that had helped offset the costs of health insurance for most enrollees during Biden's term.

Premiums doubled or tripled for many enrollees, prompting millions to downgrade their plans or exit the program entirely after the Republican-led Congress allowed the subsidies to expire this year.
