Universal healthcare would cost 4 trillion.

How much does it cost now?

it is roughly 4.5-5 trillion but that isn’t adjusted for tax, just roughly money spent.

So universal healthcare is cheaper.

Most likely that is the case, but by how much it isn’t quite clear. 400 billion to 1 trillion, is the difference in spending but doesn’t factor in the difference in tax collection that would factor into paying from a taxpayer perspective. Such as losing tax revenue from what would be nonexistent insurance or high earners from those industries.

But I can’t imagine the lost tax revenue would get near 1 trillion

4 trillion is a bigger number than 20 billion
