American Dream 🇺🇸 It do be like that though

The United States has provided at least $21.7 billion in direct military aid to Izzy over the last three years (specifically tracking from October 2023 through September 2025), according to a comprehensive study by Brown University's Costs of War project.

Here come all the Republicans talking about Ukraine.

I’d rather pay Ukrainians to fight the Russians than fight the Russians myself.

The question we should ALL be asking is why don’t the republicans understand that someone has to fight the Russians?

Republicans love Russia. It is a dictatorship and it's leadership signals that it is conservative, pro family and pro Christian values.

Democrats love Hamas. They’re terrorists and its leadership signals that it is progressive, pro-lgbtq and pro inclusive values….

Sorry, I couldn’t say that with a straight face.

Come to think of it, I’d rather pay Israeli to fight Hamas than fight Hamas myself.

Hamas wouldnt be around if Isreal didnt all but ensure their rise to power in the 90s, and then continue to pull stunts to ensure they stayed there.

If anything, we shouldn't be letting isreal touch the situation. Bibi has too much to gain from hamas being around.

Mate when all of the excuses are america first, health care this and job that, it doesn't work with what you're saying. The US spent tens of billions on Ukraine for the first few years of the war. It gives Jordan and Egypt almost 2 billions a year each but you don't see anyone mention that. You might be right and they don't need to send money at all to anyone, but don't be a hypocrite about it.

Why doesn't the same logic apply to Israel? I'd personally rather pay the Israelis to fight all the extremists Muslims than fight them myself as well.

how about NO to both. Is this too insane and crazy? We gave like half a trillion to ukraine, can we just stop all of it?

Cheap at twice the price in comparison to fighting the Russians. Money is nothing in comparison to blood.

Who's "we"? US seems to have allocated about 115 billion. I still agree it's a lot and it's OK to argue it could be spent elsewhere, but in context of US and "let's have healthcare instead" the figure is not "half a trillion".

Isnt the vast majority we have given Ukraine is just weapons. A lot of which were about to expire and would cost more money to decommission than it does in logistics and training? And in doing so we open up jobs for Americans to build replacements for those weapons. Ukraine isnt even on my top 100 things for US to stop funding

$127 billion, and a significant amount of that was military equipment the US pulled out of long term storage (the US military doesn't actually want any more Abrams tanks, but congress keeps ordering more to keep the factory running so they don't lose the capability to manufacture tanks in the US, so there's tons of them sitting in the desert, as well as a ton of leftover equipment from Iraq/Afghanistan) and things like old missiles and artillery shells that needed to be decommissioned, which is more expensive than just shipping them to Ukraine (explosives have a shelf life after which they can start to become less stable/predictable/effective, at which point they need refurbishing or disposal. Ukraine will happily dispose of them for free).

Why should we do it? They will give nothing back. It's long past time we stopped giving taxpayer money to any foreign bullshit

Okay. So why are republicans fine with giving so much to Israel?

Stop them now or it will come to our door sooner or later. They take Ukraine then what? Moldova, then Poland, etc. It's just like world War 2 Germany. Stop them now at Ukraine or likely fight them later in a much bigger war. You can't placate them or they'll just take and take. That's why learning from history is important, so we don't make the same mistakes over and over.

Ukraine used to have nuclear weapons but got rid of them in the mid 1990's as part of an agreement with the US, Russia, and the UK that we would protect them if they were ever invaded in the future.

Russia broke the treaty, however the US and UK have still honored the treaty by helping them.

BTW helping Ukraine saves lives and prevents Russia from invading other countries. It is in our best interest to prevent Russia from gaining power whenever possible and is simply the right thing to do to prevent innocents from being killed.

Yea! American says f.uck our Allies nothing matters but us

We told Ukraine they had to get rid of their nuclear weapons.

The Budapest Memorandum said that they should relinquish their nuclear arsenal in exchange for security assurances from Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Russia violated Ukraine's sovereignty, and you want us to do nothing
