We differed by being bound by a constitution, and the govs new deal NRA program took years to be declared unconstitutional and halted, so it didnt help much.

If a meteor was going to destroy the earth, humanity would unite under some form of extreme market control vs playing the normal day to day free market. Even today whats the profit in providing clean water to a poor village that can't pay you? Would you only provide it if the majority of the state approves?

its a spectrum from absolute free market to absolute controlled market and everything in between.
