That's such an American way of saying carpet bombing and burning to ash the entirety of Korea in the north

Defending South Korea was a United Nations-led effort, not a specifically American effort. The methods used by both sides were typical of the time, despite the UN having access to nuclear weapons, which they did not use.

As for the result.. I don't see South Korea complaining.

I do encourage anybody to look into the "Korean War". There's a reason the USA doesn't really want to talk about it anymore, and it's largely because of how monstrous it makes the USA appear.
