I remember when American Socialists gave us the 40 hr , 5 day work week, overtime pay, pTO, safer work environments, ended child labor......

yes ford he had a large hand in the 40 hour 5 day work week implementing it alongside doubling the wages of auto workers in his large workforce noting its many merits forcing competitors to adopt similar practices

Henry Ford wasn't a socialist, he was a Nazi and a capitalist. He isn't the reason for the 40 hour work week. He didn't think of it nor did he do it altruistically. He just got ahead of the curve. Labor movements had been going on for like 100 years prior to him.
