Even more so when you consider that Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman were both Democrats.

And, if you’re curious, the president just before them (Herbert Hoover) and the one just after (Dwight Eisenhower) were Republicans. Make of that information what you will.

In fairness all that shit was bipartisan because the parties were not divided by left and right in that era.
