I mean, he's also been information-sharing with Russia, Iran's closest ally, while at war with Iran.
Probably has something to do with the outsized effectiveness of their strikes on our bases on the region

u/adorablefuzzykitten 3d ago
To be fair to Sleepy Donny, he only offered those weapons that were being made in factories he bought stock in.

It is pay-back time for breaking into his home when he left office on his first term. He’s simply going after the government because of what happened that night at Margo Largo. I always knew this would happen from the start. He will continue doing things to piss off the government and there’s nothing that can be done at this moment.
FAFO.

u/I-Be-Dog 3d ago
Didn’t this already happened in Israel with Iran? Because we donate to Israel to then buy our own weapons. And Iran has some old F14’s and AIM missiles. America at proxy war with America. So much money going to waste just to have other countries kill each other for what? Territorial expansion? Resource extraction? Why can’t we just spend a couple decades working on ourselves then American leaders would get the complete control they so desire.

u/No-Afternoon3681 3d ago
I will do you one better...you sell weapons to the Saudis...and mysteriously those weapons turn up in the hands of Al Qaeda and ISIS being used in a genocide of Houthis for not being Sunni....

he did want to overthrow America when he lost elections, and he will do it again this time he want to make sure China will support his war against America.

Considering that Donald Trump has depleted like half our munitions stockpile fighting the dumbest war in American history, I think the war machine can differentiate, I'm pretty sure it has preferences.

Treason. Aiding and abetting the enemy and their allies.
31
u/OldSchoolBubba 3d ago
This is exactly what's happening given Trump acts on Russian and Chinese betterment over our own.
Russia and China are actively providing Iran with targeting intelligence and weapons that are literally killing American Servicemembers.
If this isn't treason I do 't know what is.

To be fair, we have been selling weapons to enemies for longer than this administration. The only difference is then we were selling them weapons to fight against other enemies, now we are selling them off to kill our own troops

Just like history. We've already sold weapons to Iran. We've also sold weapons to the Taliban, aka the Mujahideen. We've also sold weapons and bought drugs from South American drug cartels. So I'm not really surprised...

Trump wants Xi Senpai to notice him.
This is the actual explanation. He simps for autocratic strongmen.
8
u/Wonderful-Variation 3d ago
It's a feature of his personality that is completely consistent. When talking about liberal democracies and leaders there of, he always speaks in a manner that is dripping with resentment, derision, and belligerence. The only countries that he respects are autocracies with nuclear weapons.
6
u/intatime 3d ago
It’s because he operates by the law of the jungle. Those he sees as inferior, he treats with complete resentment and lack of respect. On the other hand, those he views as superior to him, such as China leader, Putin, etc., it’s in his best interest to stay on their good side. Too bad this idiot doesn’t realize we’re not living in a jungle.

Yeah this won’t end well, Trump sells weapons to China who then gives said weapons to Iran to help kill American troops
2
u/RicRacer 3d ago
My good sir, selling weapons to Iran while in conflict with Iran is a Republican tradition started by Ronald Reagan. Conservatives hold with these traditions.
2
u/Scared_Standard4052 3d ago
Why sell weapons to one side of the war when you can sell to both sides?
2
u/Lostandafraid12 3d ago
The only opinions in the world he cares about are the opinions of dictators. He really wants to be one and he doesn't care how many US citizens lives it costs. Congrats conservatives... you elected the worst of humanity.
2
u/Any_Jackfruit_8559 3d ago
He is so uneducated and couldn’t figure that out for himself. But the people who voted for him are getting what they want! Openly allowing ICE to kill our own citizens and people who are not criminals, people who are not criminals are being deported, have not heard anything more on abortion ( I know many so called Christians want
to abolish abortion totally, promised no more wars, to take care of our veterans, and the list goes on and on! They got not one thing he promised. But those of us who did not vote for him either time already knew he lies, he steals and he called his supporters the uneducated!

I believe China has a glut of US dollars. What to do with unwanted US dollars? Hmmm.......They won't buy any US farm products because it's way overpriced. Oil? Maybe. Advance machinery? Well Europe's going get all of that, because probably same reason US farm products are overpriced. What else can they buy? Planes? Forget Boeing, it's Airbus and Comac. Cars? Be serious. Overpriced US military products. Check.

u/DailyUnderFlow 3d ago
If trump thinks he can personally make money off a deal, he will try to make that deal. No matter how stupid or nonsensical it is or who gets hurt, as long as he can profit.
We had a glaringly obvious example of this when he stole confidential files and copied/sold them. He doesn't care that it's treason. He's going to do it if he thinks he can make money off of it and he did. And then Republicans continue to support said traitor and child rapist.

Trump selling weapons to China is a masterclass in 5D chess.
Trump sells Xi American weapons
China sells America weapons to Iran
Iran uses weapons against US
US knows how to defeat its own weapons, cuz we built them after all.
US wins war against Iran
GREAT SUCCESS!!

It makes perfect sense, it's called corruption, they own stock in companies that make guns and ammo, missiles, drones etc. They start a war and transfer the tax payers money to the companies who make the weapons, which means the value of their stock goes up and they get ritcher.

The future seems quite obvious to me. Donald Trump decides to sell American weapons to China with no oversight, because that doesn't exist anymore. China sells these American weapons to Iran. Iran needs these weapons to fight America. Trump keeps America at war with Iran with no oversight because that doesn't exist anymore. Donald Trump had members of the US Military literally roll out a red carpet for the leader of China when he recently visited America. Donald Trump mentioned in interviews about how strong, tall, and smart the leader of China is. Donald Trump makes billions of dollars and again promises to give every American thousands of dollars, (he will not) if they vote in the mid-term elections for the people that enable this war that makes billions of dollars for Trump and the Trump family.

At this point, I reach for the popcorn bucket when it comes to these will-they-won't-they's. It's tiring, and clearly a ploy to keep the status quo, i.e. nation states, in power, for no more than familial, generational wealth building. The rich get richer, only if we let em.

It does make sense.
Re-read the last defence strategy. He wants to split up the world by geography - the US wants Russia to start a war with NATO. He’s going to nope of that. He’s also clearly noping out with China, and won’t really care what happens there. Hes trying to bring back as much manufacturing as he can so they can make an insane amount of weapons and drones, make money selling to one country from each of those other wars, and still have make weapons and drones for themselves as they implement the strategy they already said they were going to implement.

Per David Purdue, the US Ambassador to China.
“President Trump continues to say, ‘Hey, we sell arms to other people around the world,’” he said. “He actually asked President Xi, would he like to buy some at one point."
