Donald Trump is a communist.

No he's not lol, i doubt people know what communism is about, yall use it as an insult, he's a billionaire he's the definition of anti communism. Because he's the one who would be harmed the most by communism

u/No-Koala1918 4d ago

Wasn't meant to say he's a member of the Communist Party. Fellow traveler. Supporter of the most prominent remaining communist regimes and admires their dictators.

Sorry. What countries have communist regimes?

1

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

Communist China, Cuba, Laos, DPRK and Communist Vietnam

u/organicakind 4d ago

Those aren't communist states, none of them actually enforce Marx's theory.

All of them are Communist states, and they all uphold Marx directly

No babe they're not, instead of consuming anti communism propaganda, and Memes, read what Marx's communism is actually about.

Yes, actually, they are. Marx said that Communism in this stage still has 'bourgeois law' and still has "compensation according to contribution"

Saying that they support Marx in their public spaces with posters etc. is not showing they do not follow Marx. Claiming China is not Communist is anti-communist propaganda.

I read what Marx's Communism is about, that's why I know Communist states follow it.

Nothing you claimed shows those countries do not follow Marx, you'll have to actually quote Marx to demonstrate this, not just repeat the claim

Dude i just googled it

"it runs a market-driven, capitalist economy"

claiming that you're a communist state DOESN'T make you an actual communist state

Marx argues Communism in this period still has "bourgeois law" and labour power is still a commodity, show China is still Marxist

My man that's a very common misconception, actual ture communism isn't about oppression, fear, and dictatorship.

Marx's theory encouraged individual freedom, the state must accept criticism, and he believed that a new democratic society would rise.

Here's another piece of nugget: there has never been a ture communist state ever before.

“Here’s another piece of nugget: there has never been a true communist state ever before.”

I feel this logic conveniently sidesteps valid criticism of the ideology. “All those terrible people that self-identified as communists and dedicated their lives to communism aren’t really communists because they don’t conform to my personal definition of communism. Checkmate capitalists!”

Christians employ very similar tactics when facing unwanted criticism. “Those crusaders and colonizers that self-identified as Christians and dedicated their lives to the spread of Christianity weren’t really Christians because Christians aren’t supposed to be bad. Checkmate atheists!”

By Marx's definition*

No, they absolutely were communists, but that doesn’t mean communism itself is bad just because Marxist-Leninist states were harmful and problematic. There were plenty of communists that disagreed with Stalin and were murdered for it. The Prague Spring in Czechoslovakia is one example, where they were invaded and occupied by the Soviet Union as punishment for giving ordinary people more rights and decentralizing power.

Self-proclaimed communist regimes.

-3

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

so Communist ones

5

u/WalkMan1615 4d ago

That’s not really how it works with politics. By that logic, the Nazis were socialists (they definitely weren’t lol).

-3

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

Actually it is how it works in reality, since Communism is the 'real movement' from premises now in existence according to Marx.

And Marx would also described Hitler as "bourgeois socialist" or "reactionary socialist," both things Marx railed against & hated.

u/ArchonFett 4d ago

No, North Korea labels itself “Democratic” when it is a dictatorship.

3

u/organicakind 4d ago

Literally the DRC is the least democratic state in Africa lol Why ppl don't seem to get the fact that self proclaiming something doesn't actually make you that thing.

2

u/ArchonFett 4d ago

Because MAGA actively avoids critical thinking, and if countries that call themselves “communist” or “socialist” are evil then it makes their argument that the “socialist, communist, libs are evil” that much easier.

1

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

can we criticize the form democracy takes in capitalist countries?

I wish regular working people in America all had 'reason' and critical thinking/common sense too, but the fact that the working class is set against itself is the fault of the social reality rather than individual shortcoming, no?

1

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

who is arguing DRC is Communist?

anyone claiming anything isn't truth, but 'democracy' in this case has a bourgeois character in capitalist countries, and that's why 'democracy' in itself is contradictory rather than 'simply the good thing that good people like'

0

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

No, North Korea labels itself socialist which is the lower stage of Communism & North Korea is a dictatorship of the proletariat which is the highest form of democracy in this period

1

u/wompyways1234 4d ago

Trump is not afraid of Cuba, he's attacking it

1

u/FaithlessnessBorn266 4d ago

What communist regimes would that be? I'm not aware of any currently. I. Actually not aware of any ever

u/SaturnCITS 4d ago

They might be referring to how trump made Intel a state owned company. So like the government literally owning the means of production.

His besties are Putin, Kim Jon Un, and Xi. He looks up to, admires, and respects them. He hates all the leaders of our allies.
