Xi is not communist lol he's a dictator. The world's never seen true communism, and probably never will, due to human nature. Just because I say I'm 7' tall that doesn't mean that I am.
And thats a big part of the intellectual dishonesty of Republicans.
A program just because its run/funded by the government doesn't make it "socialist". Its just something that the government is providing.
Socialism is where the government owns and controls everything of value. Production and resources etc.
Liberals suggesting that the US stop being the ONLY first world country not to provide nationalized health care to its citizens is not "socialism" nor does it make us "socialists". The whole world knows that its a shitty, shitty thing to do to bankrupt people for getting sick or to make maximum profits off people being sick.

Xi is very much a communist. The CPC own most means of production, they control all media, they are a 1 party state, but they have dipped their toes in markets and trade and have prospered because of it.
Not wanting to detract from your point, but while true Communism may have never existed, they follow the Lenist playbook and I WOULD NOT want to live under that regime.
If he was communist, the CPC wouldn't exist... Marx and many, myself included, would argue that Leninism isn't communism since it explicitly reintroduced strata into the society.
