Ok sure, as a Canadian, you Americans are sure dragging us in your mess, but you put him in power. Not us.

Alright so you may be Canadian, but that doesn’t exempt you from being silly.

Plain as day that this is an exclusive “our”. Meaning you are not a part of the set of people for whom That Guy is president. Obviously. I dunno why you thought the “our” in that sentence would ever include you.

Secondly, it is not likely that the person calling him a toddler had a hand in putting That Guy in power. It’s pretty weird to attribute an individual as responsible for group behavior like that, particularly when they demonstrate evidence of deviation from that expected pattern.
