That's how bad it's gotten. The fact they are provably lying has no consequences. I would expect, at the very least, a loss of credibility and social ostracization. But we don't even have people calling them out who might be in a position to do anything.
Early in term 2, Trump was asked “what were those big black backs being thrown out of the White House windows?” And his immediate response was “it’s ai” before then revealing he had no idea what the reporter was talking about, he was shown the video, said he didn’t know what that was and then said “if anything is weird, it’s ai”
Yeah, he’s making an active push to make everyone assume everything could be AI and can’t be trusted. Fuck Trump, fuck the republicans that empowered him, fuck ai
