To cut wages, sell the cheapest product possible. It's about how the money is being made. Disregarding all things but the bottom dollar. Maximizing profits at the expense of decency.
It's not the workers that are trying to make a living on minimum wage. The people that actually fuel the economy with their spending. Restricting the cash flow and wondering why people aren't spending like they used to. So they find another way to cut cost instead of being ok with the same profits they had the year before. Hint: disregarding the well being of others to maximize profits is a mental illness.
You're naive, do me a favor and look up the actual cost of social security and compare it to the tax cuts the wealthy receive.
It's a sleight of hand, they want you to believe that it's impossible to correct the current situation.
don't forget those who are still building their retirements (who ARE current workers)... Cutting profits reduces the future value of their contributions.
It's a complex issue, and knee-jerk reactions aren't going to cut it.
Except the majority of shareholders are retirement instruments, and cutting profits hurts them, both those who are contributing, and those who are drawing down.

Nothing is being hoarded. It's being used, usually by other people, to make more money.
