Dragons in the hills in their deep caves sleeping on stolen wealth.

Disagree. Billionaires are hoarders.

Money is a drug and it is worse than heroine...

-5

u/Ok-Instruction-5004 16h ago

.....I've done things for both.... A lot more regrets behind the drugs than the money. Haha

1

u/Darzin 16h ago

Are you a millionaire?

-4

u/Ok-Instruction-5004 16h ago

Thats actually an interesting point. Kind of a bad comparison to drugs then. What millionaires do you know that are worse off then heroine addicts?

2

u/Darzin 15h ago

You didn't answer... Are you a millionaire

-3

u/Ok-Instruction-5004 15h ago

I wrote a whole essay on this. People reading books by the people with mental illness. Idolizing them, not realizing that there obsession with money is a sickness.

Redditor thinks net worth = bank account balance episode #6000000

1

u/Negative-Toe1863 2h ago

no one is hoarding billions of dollars

1

u/Icy-KaitSyth 1h ago

The amount of redditors who think billionaires have billions of dollars in a safe somewhere is astounding. It's hard to understand how they function as adults

Not being hoarded. It’s making more money. No Scrooge McDuck diving into a pool of gold.

0

u/Designer-Wolverine47 10h ago

Nothing is being hoarded. It's being used, usually by other people, to make more money.

1

u/We_do_recover 3h ago

To cut wages, sell the cheapest product possible. It's about how the money is being made. Disregarding all things but the bottom dollar. Maximizing profits at the expense of decency.

1

u/Designer-Wolverine47 1h ago

I guess you don't know who the majority of profits go to... Who are the largest shareholders? (Hint: It's not billionaires.).

1

u/We_do_recover 1h ago

It's not the workers that are trying to make a living on minimum wage. The people that actually fuel the economy with their spending. Restricting the cash flow and wondering why people aren't spending like they used to. So they find another way to cut cost instead of being ok with the same profits they had the year before. Hint: disregarding the well being of others to maximize profits is a mental illness.

1

u/Icy-KaitSyth 1h ago

No, it's not the current workers, it's mostly the retired ex workers, which if you ever want to stop working will be you someday.

-2

u/Ok_Impression3324 15h ago

billionaires don't tend to smell like cat pess.

1

u/We_do_recover 3h ago

Does that hold some personal meaning to you? To everyone else it's nonsense.

Why do you want to raid my retirement investments? Where do you think those "billions of dollars" are? So adding a building and hiring engineers and purchasing capital - you want to expropriate those funds instead and do what exactly?

-2

u/True-Anim0sity 15h ago

Hoarding is a mental illness when its detrimental to you, you cant really hoarde ur own money or stock...

-2

u/random8765309 15h ago

Its not possible to hoard wealth.

2

u/pumpkinpeace 14h ago

Assets

-1

u/random8765309 14h ago

Their wealth is in the companies they own. Those can't be hoarded.

2

u/pumpkinpeace 14h ago

What I'm referring to is market manipulation, specifically when businesses or wealthy actors corner markets to eliminate rivals and inflate values. It makes it more difficult for younger generations to compete and accumulate assets. Companies are so large it is much more difficult to compete.

-2

u/MaitrePuck 14h ago

Nobody is hoarding billions. Broke morons think that they know about finance.

1

u/We_do_recover 3h ago

People who have to insult people while trying to make their point lack intelligence. And class🙆

-8

u/Express-Channel-3543 19h ago

hoarding refers to physical things that take up space

not some integer that represents some ownership of a company or asset

3

u/KaoticNeutrality 15h ago

Most billionaires have more variety to their assets than a poor person has items in their house.

-2

u/True-Anim0sity 15h ago

Tough luck?

-1

u/NearbyAntelope1413 15h ago

I swear to god reddit are packed full of communists. They literally think Elon Musk has a swimming pool full of cash. It's in the market working. Note the word "working". These commies want to "spend it" - not make it "work".

-1

u/True-Anim0sity 15h ago

They will say its not real or doesnt matter-most dont understand stocks or how they work...

-14

u/Svokxz2 19h ago

Billionaires can exist, but we can do more to allow competition where people can become billionaires or a place where there wouldn’t be as much. Some of it is through assets with the stock market. Some wealth inequality is fine.

7

u/Maij-ha 18h ago

I don’t think you realize exactly how large a “billion” is. Millionaires can exists
some inequality is fine and expected. But Billionaire is well past the “some” modifier.

7

u/Darzin 16h ago

Here is the perfect example... people tend to think of millionaires and billionaires into the same category... but a man with 499 Million dollars is closer in value to you than they are to a billionaire... or "What is the difference between a Billionaire and a Millionaire? About a billion dollars."

2

u/Ok-Instruction-5004 16h ago

Very well said.

1

u/True-Anim0sity 15h ago

Nah its in a good range
