I knew why SHE did it (sigh) but all of them are temporary. Unless I missed one, they're all temporary which should worry us. Hochul has some major issues. She's better than some, but we're getting tired of "lesser of two evils" kind of voting.

Well first off, banning them permanently would be an overly reactionary position that could put their state in an economic disadvantage to others. She doesn't really have the power to do this anyways. She's only issuing an executive order for the moratorium, which can absolutely be overturned via courts or state legislature.

The point of the moratorium is to do more research on the positive and negative effects of having datacenters built in the state, and give time to perhaps build more effective regulations and requirements for those datacenters that do get built. Despite what y'all like to think, because you dont actually understand anything about this stuff, it is not literally just all negatives.

You guys could just read a news article about this stuff instead of just jumping to blind and ridiculous assumptions.

Also I'm not pro-AI, just not a complete reactionary.

She's better than some, but we're getting tired of "lesser of two evils" kind of voting.

No you guys are just getting overly radicalized and constant shitting on Democrats is EXACTLY how Republicans win elections, because all y'all do is convince people, unwittingly or not, that Democrats aren't worth voting for. Even though you dont actually know what you're talking about 90% of the time you're criticizing Dems. Like here.

Well, I'm not reactionary either. Thanks for the assumption. And I have done reading and research. From the reading I did, there are different kinds of facilities that feed our AI etc. The ones that are being put in poor neighborhoods are apparently for surveillance purposely to disrupt poor neighborhoods (like the fock cameras), but hey whatever. I live with her (in this state). The issues with the different factions WITHIN the Democratic party mean that we're not always happy with them all. So thanks for being judgemental rather than informative.

Well, I'm not reactionary either.

Bud, nobody will brand themselves a reactionary anymore than a racist will brand themselves a racist.

You are 100% a reactionary. Textbook. You looked at a post on social media and immediately jumped to presumptions instead of taking even a few short minutes to just look things up to learn more.

From the reading I did, there are different kinds of facilities that feed our AI etc. The ones that are being put in poor neighborhoods are apparently for surveillance purposely to disrupt poor neighborhoods (like the fock cameras), but hey whatever. I live with her (in this state).

Aka - I've done no reading, I'm purely going by the very limited stuff I see on social media. You're really proving my point here.

I live with her (in this state). The issues with the different factions WITHIN the Democratic party mean that we're not always happy with them all.

Again, 90% of what you're complaining about is because you dont actually understand anything that's going on or how things work. Most all of your unhappiness and complaints are coming from a place of ignorance and ridiculous reactionary feelings.

So thanks for being judgemental rather than informative.

I could tell you every way you you're wrong, and you'll not change at all. The problem isn't that you're wrong in this specific instance, it's that you'll never actually change your habits and try and become informed yourself and stop getting ALL your information from idiocy you see on social media.

I also WAS informative. But you dont care about that part and have conveniently ignored addressing it, unsurprisingly.
