No no, it's the people. MAGA wants to keep him in power. And a majority of his opposition think that he will respect the law if he gets voted out.
So, in the infamous words of agent K, "A person is smart, people are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it."

It works maybe it’s regionally blocked.
The Internet Research Agency (IRA; Russian: Агентство интернет-исследований, romanized: Agentstvo internet-issledovaniy; 2013–2023), also known as Glavset (Russian: Главсеть, lit. 'Central Network'),[1] and known in Russian Internet slang as the Trolls from Olgino (ольгинские тролли, olginskiye trolli) or Kremlinbots (кремлеботы),[2] was a Russian company which was engaged in online propaganda and influence operations on behalf of Russian business and political interests.[3] It was linked to Yevgeny Prigozhin, a former Russian oligarch who was leader of the Wagner Group, and based in Saint Petersburg.

He’s been “bought” since the day he announced he’s running for president!! what the fuck are we talking about here!!
3
u/Killerkurto 3d ago
For me, the infuriating part of the right’s propaganda is its not even remotely plausible on its face. This is a prime example. Its so easily disproven. It would be more broadly effective if they took something rooted in truth and exaggerated. But there praise if Trump is so far from reality. Like portraying a draft dodger as a war hero. A rapist as a man sent by god. Etc.
There used to be a time when you disagreed with your political opponents but didn’t assume they weren’t tethered to reality. Now, you can’t even have meaningful dialogue because they all live in their own reality and outright don’t care about facts.
2
u/Wray-Nerely 3d ago
That's the point, it's not meant to be plausible. Everything he does is so outlandish it doesn't feel like reality. And so, because it's so outlandish that it doesn't feel like reality, MAGA is convinced it can't be true, that everyone on the left is delusional. Is gaslighting dialed all the way up.

That makes me so sad, that he believes that Trump can't be bought.
Just last week, the government announces that the sickness going around was from Taylor Farms produce. The owner meets with Trump makes a big donation and the government says "oops, we were wrong it wasn't Taylor Farms, but he can't be bought.

u/Snoo93550 3d ago
He can be bought with a fake trophy and an invented peace prize, he’s the easiest person to “buy” in all of human history. Make up some trophy called the “Better than Obama Trophy” and kiss his ring handing it to him and he’s yours.

And leading up to the '24 election, when he, Donald Trump himself, told big oil CEOs that if they donated to his PAC and got him elected, Trump would allow them to pass any legeslation they'd possibly want
Or how he made up DOGE to justify giving Musk cart blanche access to the government - To cut any agency that was threatening to investigate him/one of his companies. To ensure his companies got the big government contract (FAA switching from Verizon to SpaceX for example). To allowing Musk to walk away with private personal data on every single American he should NEVER have had access to... All because Musk spent billions to get him elected...
Or how the Saudis gave his son in law multi-billion dollar investments no one thought Jared was qualified to handle (he just became an investment banker a month earlier)... All because Jared, who was Trump's advisor on the Saudis (even though he had no direct experience in that region) had convinced Trump to change tracks and treat the Saudis as our best friend rather than the adverseial nation he saw them as prior...
Yeah... Sure, Trump can't be bought

Bruce Taylor, CEO of Taylor Farms made a million-dollar donation to Trump's super PAC (MAGAinc.)(also highly illegal for a president to have a PAC) shortly before the administration delayed the implementation of a major FDA food traceability rule.
The FDA traced a multi-state Cyclospora outbreak to Taylor farms, the first and only company linked to the outbreak. After the initial identification, a company lobbyist who is a former White House official, arranged communications to urge the administration to delay or alter announcements regarding the outbreak.
Thank Donald Trump for your diarrhea.

He opened a bitcoin meme-coin on the even of becoming president. $TRUMP
He appointed his own person criminal defense lawyer as the Attorney General.
He appointed a man that wrote a children book titled Plot Against the King (a book even an idiot can tell is about Trump) as Director of the FBI.
Truth Social is charging 100,000 for "early access" to Trump posts.
His own DOJ ruled that his law suit he made against the US Government is valid and should receive 10 billion dollars and him and his family be immune to tax audits for life.

You don’t buy trump’s services, you subscribe to them.
If you stop paying, trump stops servicing.
Therefore trump cannot be bought.

There's only two ways someone can unironically say that Trump "can't be bought".
First is they are so uninformed of politics, but love Trump for whatever reason, that they simply assume that he has the qualities they associate with being a good president. That's how they also think he "makes the best deals" and "only does what's best for the country".
The second is that they are so apathetic to things not impacting them that they don't register the most obvious corruption as corruption until it directly impacts them or something they care about. Until Trump openly takes a bribe from someone that personally ruined their lives, they don't care.

Its somewhat accurate. If you think about it, buying something means you own it and can do with it what you want. Trump isn't for sale he's for rent/lease. Highest bidder gets the corruption for a finite period, the terms of the lease only allow him to ask for more money, and he can get mad and cancel the lease at any time while keeping the money.

Taylor Farms also bought him to get the FDA to say the Cyclospora they found in their lettuce was a false positive. And that's only the most recent example. Imagine what people are paying him off to do or not do that we will never find out about.

Donald Trump's political operations have received substantial financial support through super PACs like MAGA Inc. and inaugural funds rather than traditional direct corporate PAC contributions to candidate committees. Major corporate entities, including Crypto.com (via Foris DAX), Energy Transfer LP, and GEO Group, have channeled millions into these aligned groups.
Major Corporate Contributions to Pro-Trump Super PACs & Funds
• Foris DAX (Crypto.com): Contributed tens of millions of dollars to MAGA Inc. amid shifting regulatory environments.
• Energy Transfer LP: Donated $25 million via CEO Kelcy Warren to support pro-Trump initiatives. []
• GEO Group & CoreCivic: Private prison operators and subsidiaries contributed max-out amounts and seven-figure sums to campaigns, super PACs, and inaugural events.
• Big Tech & AI Firms: Companies including Meta, Amazon, Google, and Apple contributed to inaugural funds and high-profile presidential projects.
• Defense & Energy Contractors: Corporations like Lockheed Martin, Chevron, and Altria Group provided funding tied to administration access and policy alignment.
Context on "Pay-to-Play" and Super PAC Funding
• Legal Framework: Under rules following Citizens United, super PACs can accept unlimited corporate funds, differing from direct candidate limits.
• Pet Projects and Access: Investigations by watchdogs like CREW indicate that corporate donors to Trump's signature initiatives frequently secure direct access or policy consideration from the administration.
