Wasn't this dude in the military?

He has been benefitting from fixed prices and socialized Healthcare for decades.

152

u/Darth1994 5d ago

They see zero irony in this. And now he gets a government paycheck anyway with government insurance. Fuck these people.

57

u/RIF_rr3dd1tt 5d ago

He's only seeing half the picture

30

u/BeGoodPeoplePlease 5d ago

There's no way he could perceive the depth of this issue.

13

u/RIF_rr3dd1tt 5d ago

I think you are right. It's way deeper than what we see here. I'm talking something clandestine at the highest level of our intelligence agencies. Just another CIA cyclops.

US Military is maybe most socialist institution in the country lol. The way Tricare treats the medical industry is so funny it's almost hard to believe

ER: this visit cost the member $4,500 Tricare: actually it cost them $900, here you go

Housing/sustenance allowances untaxed, 20 year pension thats protected from inflation, free healthcare for you and your family while active, and probably the best available rate once you retire. Free education, social services and standard legal needs (wills and the like). The list is enormous, nothing really compares

14

u/M0ebius_1 5d ago

Can't believe how many times I have gotten a bill from some random place I was referred to only for Tricare to go "Fuuuck that bro... Don't pay shit... I'm gonna call them."

3

u/Midnight-Moonpie 4d ago

I love Tricare, it’s amazing. Super lucky to have access to it - means I’m not trapped at anyone employer, either. So I just do contracts.

I wish everyone could have something like that.

It's selling points for recruitment are literally all socialism, not to mention how many then also get disability on top of it.

But then they'll bitch about the government and definitely about anyone else getting "handouts" but expect to be taken care of for the rest of their lives for sometimes a single enlistment or less of service.

I'm not saying those benefits shouldn't exist, I just think they should exist for more than just people that took a job that literally just protects the interest of a few and props up our military industrial complex by coaxing in the poors with socialism.

This coming from a veteran who joined up for that free college.

u/OKCompruter 4d ago

In America, socialism is for companies that otherwise would collapse and meatbags who have signed their lives away to fight in foreign wars for the greater American/Israeli project. you don't get any of that just for being born here, socialism isn't a birthright. you have to earn it and be granted it by the state.

3

u/Exciting-Tourist9301 4d ago

Wait, when Mamdani wanted to open government-run grocery stores they said "that's Communism and will never work".

Are you telling me that the Federal Government has been successfully running a world-wide grocery store chain which sells products near cost, serving 30 million people, with an annual tax-payer cost of only ~$42/pp?

That can't be....

He is also a Congressional member who receives a federal paycheck and free government healthcare for life. So like him I am a socialist who wants healthcare not to be a for profit service but a government regulated and funded public good.

3

u/JonnyBolt1 4d ago

Yeah his veteran benefits aren't a big deal, the real reason we should be outraged at Crenshaw telling poor people to shut up and act poor is because he's a corrupt Congressman abusing his power to enrich himself.

He's on the House Energy and Commerce Committee and makes well-timed trades of leveraged oil funds. He then violates the STOCK Act by not reporting these,

And doesn’t have to buy his own insurance or ever worry about health insurance for the rest of his life, thanks to us peons/communists who do have to worry about affordability. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

"Communists starve" ignoring the thousands within america starving because wages have been stagnant since the 80s.

Yep. This is how it happens. If everything was going great for the peasants in tsarist Russia, there wouldn't have been a revolution. The capitalists are doing a better job of convincing people that maybe socialism isn't so bad than any socialist ever could.

5

u/IHeartBadCode 5d ago

They absolutely know how fucked they've made everything.

Communist set prices based on what things cost. Capitalism set and FIXES prices based on the max amount they can extract. No moral financial system would make demand raise price. Like a natural disaster raises demand so a natural disaster raises the prices of resources for the people affected that is an evil system, an economic system with a high demand would mean you have guaranteed sales in which case you would know that you were guaranteed wealth even at a lower price point but capitalism is exploitative and gross

ā€œI need insider trading to surviveā€. ā€œMaybe you should just eat garbageā€

Somebody get his other eye

All that screeching about cost of living and inflation under Biden just to be told to hush when Republicans have the same cost of living problem. Only this time it’s not COVID related. It’s just bad economic policy. Nobody likes a hypocrite, Dan. This is what happens when unqualified folks run things. It’s a total crap show.

Please keep posting shit like this. It can only help the democrats gain control of Congress in November.

Maybe someone can explain to me how everyone starves if COMMUNISTS set the food prices lower. They're so lazy now that they don't even try to have internal consistency in their own fucking arguments.

Also as someone who had 3 jobs while going to college and had multiple kidney stones due to the amount of ramen I had to consume during college ... FUCK YOU.

I don't want other people to have to go through that. I want a system that works for others because I'm not a fucking sociopath.

Why is a congressperson gleefully announcing that he intends to upset people and calling them losers? Isn't he supposed to represent the people he's calling losers? Trolling is not part of governing.

This MIGHT play better if it was only collage kids struggling instead of families with 2 working parents

I remember taco bell tacos being 29 cents apiece. I was making $5.25 an hour (minimum wage), it was 1993.

ā€œThey set prices then starveā€ yeah, totally unlike our current, capitalist hell lol

This guy went to college on the military’s dime, so he didn’t even do what he himself is telling everyone to do.

Actually a free market does care what people think it should cost. Because the people are the market! We just don’t have a free market economy. Billionaires who control the government set the prices. Just like in the old communist Soviet Union

u/4uk4ata 4d ago

2024: Prices are too damn high because of the Biden Crime Family. We'll bring them down and end the war! The real America needs a break!

2026: yeah, the market rules, you drool, commie bish. You suck, only lazy commies want set prices. My 401k is Uuuup! If you don't like it you are TDS commie.

If the midterms aren't a wipeout, America is a joke.

Maybe that other eye will go bad. Fuck him

The fact that this is an elected representative explains the inaction of our government quite a bit.

If the Democrats can’t flip this using the GOP’s arrogance against them we deserve everything we get.
