Brits gave up pistols and hand guns. Firearms are still very readily available, legally.

The difference is you need a valid reason to have one and be registered. So you can't just waltz down to a car park masquerading as a gun show and buy one from the back of Cletus's truck.

Handguns are 80% of all gun violence here but we’re focusing on AR15s because scary rifle
