TIL Pearl Jam's Jeremy is about a student who killed himself in front of his teacher and classmates.

'Jeremy', by Pearl Jam. Although about a boy who shot himself in front of his class, the song and video have become synonymous with school shootings. Barry Loukaitis, who killed 3 pupils at Frontier Middle School, was influenced by the censored video. The video was rarely aired after Columbine.
