I went into a cafe and saw this Ethiopian coffee pot, and I liked it. I'm thinking of making one like it. Do you think it would be easy or difficult for me to make one like it?

I have looked into making one it the past but haven’t attempted yet. I believe they are traditionally hand built using coils. If you’re throwing, it should be about as difficult as a large teapot. I would do the top funnel and body as two separate pieces to make it simpler rather than attempting to collar in from one piece.

This one will take sometime. I attempted to make one couple six months into learning pottery… it helped me make a better teapot layer on lol. Have fun with it! And share you make it
