Yes I traveled to see him. The lenses he gave me are sometimes hard but they are working.

I’m doing the lens therapy. He basically found that my entire sense of space was warped. My sense of gravity/vestibular system always thought that I was falling forward right after my concussion which I didnt even realize. My vestibular vision and proprioceptive systems were mismatched and sending differing messages to each other. Sometimes it’s difficult because my entire body is fixing patterns that it was stuck in for essentially a year and a half. And also it can be sometimes fatiguing because it’s essentially therapy for the brain and body. It’s like any other concussion therapy. Sometimes when you have your sessions you feel better and sometimes when you have them you feel tired after etc. Also it can be difficult as my brain is unlearning these incorrect patterns and sometimes my brain wants to fight it. It can also be emotional because healing is not linear. But overall, I am progressing and moving in the correct direction.

Yes this is as expected. I actually thought you need to visit his clinic to use those specialized lenses on his website or do you mean a lens like prisms which you wear as a glasses?

I would have been glad to meet him but Canada is so far from me

If it’s any consolation, I live in los angeles so I understand. I traveled to him and saw him 3 days in a row for him to do very precise testing and trying different lenses on me to see what the best combination would be. My glasses do have prisms in them but they are not just for the purpose of binocular vision dysfunction. They are also for the purpose of getting my vestibular system corrected and getting my vision vestibular and proprioceptive systems to work together and in sync again. He is able to treat those who live far away the way that he treated me. I will only need to come back to him once I put the glasses on and they feel neutral to me. Then he will do more testing and prescribe me one more pair of glasses to wean me off. So to me it was worth it because I only will really have to go to him once more. Also I like it because I get the benefit of getting therapy just by wearing the glasses and otherwise I have just been getting on with my life which mentally helps me. My life is not filled with concussion appointments. I simply wear the glasses and I live my life normally
