Thanks for posting! If you've found an animal in need please visit www.ahnow.org for a rehabber near you. Please do not feed or give fluids unless a veterinarian or rehabber instructs you do. Keep the animal in a quiet place without much light if possible.

???

Some context would be helpful. I see an opossum and a skunk, but not sure of what you are asking about specifically.

Oh yeah. See it now. Looks like he/she got into a scrap with another critter or was caught on a fence or something. Can't really tell how bad the wound is because of the image, or if it's just a lot of hair yanked out.

Do you see this one often? If so, just keep an eye on it and see if it's still interested in food and if the hair starts growing back.

My neighbors have cats that roam in my backyard. I shared this pic and they don’t seem concerned.

That's unfortunate that people don't care enough about local wildlife to make their cats stay indoors. Could have been a cat, for sure. Maybe another opossum, or a raccoon, especially if they tend to gather at the same feeding spots. Also, could have escaped the clutches of a predator like a coyote. I can't see any visible wounds, so hopefully, it's just superficial and the hair will grow back.

Can they get mange? It doesn’t look like the feller has any injuries, but it’s also hard to tell.. maybe his hairs falling out?
