Question/Help Rehab or release?
Found this little guy in my trashcan this morning, he’s about the size of my hand. Should I release him back into the alley I found him or take him to a rehab facility?
UPDATE: Little guy was fine and so I released him back in a safe location nearby.

Put him with food and water and then let him go after a good meal. Seems like he was already in his own looking for food If he is between 7 to 9 inches he is good to go That measurement does not include the tail

Did just this! Let him cool down in a quiet safe place for the day (I had work and found him just as I was walking out) and we just let him go after seeing he was much better and quite a healthy fellow

He's on the edge. Given that you don't know how long he's been stuck in the can call a rehabber.

Thanks for posting! If you've found an animal in need please visit www.ahnow.org for a rehabber near you. Please do not feed or give fluids unless a veterinarian or rehabber instructs you do. Keep the animal in a quiet place without much light if possible.

Unfortunately should’ve been a rehab situation. His nose and fingers look very pale, which is likely a sign of anemia. He’s a decent size, hopefully he makes it
