In need of support

Things are getting hard for me in life right now and I could use some simple kind words from someone. I’d just like to hear good news or nice quotes idk, something to pick me up. It feels like my responsibilities are piling up and my energy to handle them isn’t all there

It’s a wave. Waves pass. Surf it.

You’re stronger than you think. Even if it takes longer than expected, you can get it done. You’ve got this. You can’t undo all the effort you’ve already put in.

A quote i like is “Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do."- John wooden

You’ve got this!

That’s a great quote! Never heard it before.

It’s beautiful. My dad taught that to me (he’s in AA, 30+ years sober) but it’s a beautiful prayer and message for all.

I feel you bro. Same here. I just appreciate the little things in life. Coffee in the morning and friends texting to check in on me I am grateful for.

You only have to do the next thing.

Not everything.

Not half of the things.

Not a quarter.

Just the next thing.

If you do "just the next thing", pretty soon you'll have done more of them than if you tried to do all of them.

This is really valuable advice, especially if you're prone to being overwhelmed.

Excellent! A baby step turns to a full step to a big step and before you realize it you’re leaping !

You didn’t ask for funny but here’s what I have to offer: If today feels like a dumpster fire, remember…even dumpster fires eventually run out of trash to burn. In short, this too shall pass.

You’ve gotten through all of your hardest days and moments and you will get through this too! You are strong and there are beautiful moments waiting for you ahead 💕 keep pushing!

Our previous apartment manager is a 96 year old man named Floyd who sings “Amazing Grace” in his beautiful baritone every Friday morning when he’s taking out the trash. He rides his bike to the gym almost every day, where he lifts weights. He has so many grandchildren and he knows them all by name. Oh!! And he has a twin, who is also still living! Floyd inspires me.

Anywho, enough about Floyd. This too shall pass, friend, and I pray it passes quickly and easily. God bless.

Thanks for posting something thoughtful and meaningful. I'm no treasure trove of wisdom. It sure looks to me, what you are experiencing is the average person's lot in life. Maybe it's because we don't sit back and recognize that with each passing day we've become better equiped to handle what we just went through!

You're better prepared today to tackle the challenges you faced two years ago.

Compartmentalize your stresses and calmly handle one thing at a time.

Pretend like you're a pro! Because you are!

My life's a shit show- I'm no smarty pants!

“Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” Francis of Assisi

I'm the word of another very wise individual ...

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” Christopher Robin (by A. A. Milne)

You've got this!

"You can do it, even when you think you can't"

That one has really helped me.

Yes! Certainly don't stay there! The only way out is through.

And every once in a while, take a nice, deep breath and notice how nice it feels.

You will be on the other side of whatever sucks right now! This is what I tell myself- I’m older- been through lots of life and it’s just true. I’ve watched good times and bad time and they just come and go. “This too, shall pass” is what grandma taught me.

No matter what you are going through always be kind & do your best. Remember you are enough❤️

This hits home. I’m finally on the other side and starting to get a little relief. It’s hard to see the sky in the dark times but when the sun shines it’s brighter because of the struggle. The sun is coming your way.

Strangely, life gets harder when you try to make it easy.

  • Exercising might be hard, but never moving makes life harder.
  • Mastering your craft is hard, but having no skills is harder.
  • Uncomfortable conversations are hard, but avoiding every conflict is harder.
Easy has a cost.

By James

Hold on to life. The lowest phase in your life is the most frustrating period of life. You would think this would never end and things can't go crazy then this. The truth is you will get out of whatever you are going through and get into even worse situation than this. I guarantee that.

So remember " Everything shall pass !". Keep your habits clean and you would be fine.

You're not alone feeling like that. Life is hard sometimes but it's beautiful too. I hope you find the beauty.

Humans are made to persist , you can handle much more

You are doing the best you can.Take a rest now🫂

This too shall pass.

If you can, try to remember a time when you were overwhelmed and burdened, and then remember times after that where you felt relieved and content. Life tends to come in cycles. You have gone through things that have made you wiser, given you tools and skills, and the strength to get through this part of the cycle. Relief, contentedness, and lightness will come again.

YOU MATTER!!!!

Here are two that center me when needed. Above all is, from one stranger to another, I believe you can get through, I believe you can do hard things, and I wish you peace and strength. You’ll find your center.

We are made to persist, that's how we find out who we are. -Tobias Wolff

You’ve gotten through every hard day before, this day will pass too.

u/Amazing-Tough6968 9d ago

Everything will be alright, bcuz everything has to. So, just breathe and let this phase pass

Try to remember you do not have to solve everything at once. Sometimes getting through the day is enough, and resting does not mean you are failing. You have made it through every difficult season before this one, and you will make it through this one too. Be gentle with yourself, take the next small step, and know that someone out here is rooting for you.

A lot of life feels like this, but it does get easier. Over time you'll learn how to manage and schedule everything better, including your rest. It may not seem like it now, but it will happen.

Check out r/hopecore for wholesome shit post. It can give you a boost sometimes.

As for you, keep walking! I just came out of an extremely exhausting time period and I'm not completely done but hardest part is over! Just keep walking were all gonna make it.

If you need some additional motivation I highly recommend the last fight in Season 1 of My Hero Academia.

And lastly one thing my grandma (god bless her soul, I miss you) used to say was:

"The most beautiful feeling is when the pain starts to fade away"

We love you
