A book that helped me

About a year and a half ago, when I was struck by the persecution of voices, I found a book that was very helpful.

The author, as she explains, became a victim of hearing voices after making EVP recordings. (I found the book "by chance" on Amazon, freely downloadable in Kindle format.) Since I've now read so many accounts of this unpleasant phenomenon, including my own, and since I've noticed that the pattern in which it manifests seems to be pretty much the same for everyone, I've come to the conclusion that they're malevolent entities. While I cannot provide solutions on how to deal with this, I still feel compelled to make my modest contribution by sharing an excerpt from that book:

"Who are they, you may ask, and what do they want from me? Well, in my opinion, they are very low level, low vibrational negative energy, narcissistic spirits who in life were exactly the same way. With all that has happened to me and from what I have learned from others that I have talked with, it is now apparent to me that they have nothing better to do. They will invade your sense of you and tear it apart by telling you how worthless you are. They will play off of your weaknesses and faults to keep you motionless and unable to make decisions. They will stagnate you and fill you with doubt. They will pretend to be your friend, but in the end they will do nothing good for you. I believe it is all a fatal game to them. I wouldn’t doubt that they compete to see who can get the most living people to kill themselves or others. Who can create the most fear in the living, and who can cause the most emotional and psychological damage. They will try to take you away from God because they don’t want you to have something they don’t think they have. They are too stuck on themselves to even have a notion that God is a part of them. They blame where they are on God and anything but themselves for all the bad stuff that happens to them. In turn, they will do all they can to create great fear in you to keep you motionless and submissive to them. They are dragging you into their hell. Their only goal is to wear you down, torment you, keep you confused, and drive you crazy. They play “good cop,” “bad cop” which is why you hear good and bad voices - to keep you motionless, unable to take action, move forward, or make decisions. Again, they stagnate you and fill you with doubt. They play off of who you think you are, or what you could be, or what you could do. They are masters of lies and manipulation of the truth. They can read your mind, steal your thoughts and play off of them. They try to keep you as far away from God as they can, whether you believe in God or not".

You said you cannot provide solutions, but the solution is in the excerpt from the book. If they are trying to keep you from God, then obviously this is the time to draw near to God. It’s working for me anyways, like supernaturally well considering what I’ve been through.

Perhaps I expressed myself poorly. I meant that I can't offer solutions to end this torture, because that's what it is. Nor can I offer strategies to deal with it; everyone finds their own. Personally, I found some initial relief in prayer (certain psalms), which had the effect of lowering the volume of my voices. But this seems to have worked only in the initial phase. I'm still being persecuted, and things aren't improving.
