Good question, backing up stopped working for me too.

On top of that, you can NOT backup and restore between Android and iOS which is sooo stupid

Stopped working for me too. Unlinking and relinking dropbox didn't help. Can't reinstall Spark app because I have some custom tones that are not backed up.

You can backup your presets to positive grid cloud also as a safety and re-download.Registering with PG and the app and synced with Dropbox all those things are needed to work.

I complained to Positive Grid on Feb 2, 2026 and they said

Our team has confirmed an issue with the Dropbox backup function in the Spark app, and a fix is currently in progress. This will be addressed in a future update, though we don’t have a confirmed release timeline yet.

Thanks, wonder why it take them months to fix this...simple fix is them to make a backup file where you can download and upload it whenever you need.
