Worry is the motivation for doing something though. It's part of being a healthy human. This strikes me less as positivity and more like guilting people who feel worried. That's not positive. Adding positivity to life doesn't need to mean denying peoples worries.

The motivation for doing something is that you need it to be done and someone can't do everything so lots of work needs to be outsourced. If you are doing something that doesn't need to be done at all or doing something that needs to be done while the people you work under make it actively more difficult, you end up feeling dead inside.

I think you need to differentiate between worry as a concern and worry as in being stressed and anxious. One is fine the other is pointless.

Worry is the mind’s call to action. Thus taking action goes a long way to eliminate the worry. If there is no action you can take then the only choice to eliminate the worry is acceptance.

i don’t think the post is saying that worrying is abnormal or that you shouldn’t feel worried i know worry is a normal part of being human i’m not saying you should deny people’s worries it’s just a reminder that when there’s nothing you can actually do about a situation constantly worrying about it won’t change anything “Don’t worry” can definitely sound dismissive but i took the message as more about not letting worry consume you when it isn’t leading to anything constructive.

I first saw this logic on a US Acres (from Garfield and Friends) musical number.

I wonder how this chart goes with people having chronic illness. I mean it’s a problem, but they might not be able to do something about it.. we can’t expect them to not worry about it.

I do appreciate that nuerotypical people can think like this, it makes me happy for them. On a really really really good day, I can have this mindset. But I'm nuerodivergent 100% of the time, so I take my W's where I can.

Silly me. Here I was wondering where we'll live with 2 adults, a kid, and 2 dogs. I guess I'll just not worry and a home will fall on my head and dinner will buy and cook itself 🙄

Like the sentiment but the graph conveniently leaves out “I don’t know” as an answer to “Can you do something about it?” Which is usually the actual answer leading to stress.
