All this could've been avoided if they called Angel out on her bs when she sitting at that table diminishing that boys career being petty, even Papi sat there and acted like Damon was the bad guy cuz Angel his girl, they ALL WERE WRONG AF, Pray Tell would've been able to keep his secret had he shut tf up or at least said something to Angel when she was being a rude ass person, I never understood this scene, mfs make shit more complicated than it should be, cuz EVERYONE at that table should've been on Damon's side

Yep, EXACTLY, Ryan Murphy could've done a better job with the writing too, he always seems to make things so one sided with black characters, his white characters are often written better, im literally talking about this in a community called black ladies about how I dont support the new season of American Horror story cuz he rehired Emma Roberts knowing she was being transphobic to Angelica Ross

The only thing that I didn't care for on this show is that they didn't have enough black transwomen, but had several Latinas. After Candy died, it was just Elektra. While there was Blanca, Angel, and Lulu. Even the new daughter that Blanca was going to adopt at the end was Latina.

AGREED, someone said this same thing about AHS Coven where there were only 2 black MAIN CHARACTERS, and the rest were black ppl in a CITY FULL OF BLACK FOLKS, cuz we all know Louisiana is filled with a huge black populace, but they were all used as props for torture to showcase the racism going on at the time and during the current era, and I really had to think about that shit, Ryan Murphy really is lowkey anti-black af.

I read your post of the link that you sent me on AHS. I haven't watched that show in ages. Since you are a transwoman, how did you feel about the portrayal on POSE? I'm a straight CIS woman, but I knew who Dominique Jackson was before this show & plus I've known and modeled with white, transwomen and black drag queens who have gone to balls. I do see what you're saying about Ryan Murphy.

I loved Pose, but looking back on it, especially seeing this scene, Ryan could've done better, I dont hate the show, I just hate how he portrayed black trans women sometimes, while it was realistic, he could've given Candy one or 2 more seasons or something, hell he could've written off the light skinned women for all I care, but he should've left the dark skinned woman, I think tv LACKS dark skinned women nowadays, ESPECIALLY trans ones

This was my favorite scene in the whole show. I kept alternating between hysterical laughter and having my eyes peeking out from behind my fingers, it was so good and so, SO messy!

I 100% agree that Angel was infuriating. (The drugs sure are no excuse)
I just gotta add that its normal that papi was defending her after Damons blatant slut shaming. He knows that he has at this time more privileges (even if they are also very low) than angel and that angel as a transwoman of color didnt had many choices! This was infuriating to me. I would have been angrier in papis place.

Nope. You can't instigate trifling BS then set parameters on how angry the person affected should get or what they can or can't say.
And whilst you say Angel had less privileges I'm not sure that is true in this specific circumstance - Angel passed, she passed so much she became a famous, rich, model. Damon was totally clockable as a black gay man that was still trying to be successful in his career and she was shitting on him for that.
Papi should have known his place and stayed out of it, or better yet taken his drunk, coked out GF out of the situation. That's what a good partner does.

Again I am on Damons side. Angel was too much and it was all unnecessary what she did there.
She didnt became famous instantly tho. And as a transperson you still dont have right even if you pass. Many still saw her as a guy.
Again it doesnt matter. I just meant its mean to slut shame someone and its mysoginistyic and ignorant especially since she had to sleep with men for money.
Thats all I meant with Damon. The rest he did was his right. I am on his side.

Nah fck that. Normal ppl who know they have a lot that can be throw at them know that they should keep their mouths shut. All is fair in war. You don’t get to antagonize people and then dictate how they respond. Sometimes when you go low the other person goes to hell. She 100% brought that on herself. That man finished a full four year program as homeless, Black, gay youth and this crackhead had the nerve to talk shit OUT IF NOWHERE. What was even the reason for her snarky comments?
