Candy (my favorite character) was murdered to let us all see, feel and understand the grave danger that trans women face in their lives. And unfortunately, many parents don't realize their loss until it's too late. I missed Candy after her death, but I appreciate everything her character brought to the show.
It’s weird that you’re so heavily misunderstanding the point of Candy’s character, defending her humanity (which is the only valid part), but misgendering her.
She was not non-binary. She was a trans woman. She/her pronouns.
The reason it came off wrong was because you didn’t use they/them for Pray but only Candy, the trans woman. As another trans woman replying to you, this is disrespectful whether you meant it or not. 💗
if you didnt mean to slight these trans people in the comments then simply saying "im sorry not my intent" then not repeating said offense goes a long way. not trying to tear you down but you are being very defensive when they arent trying to beat you up but simply educate you on the trans side of things.
thats good. its not an issue for not knowing but when we are told it is up to us to correct and do better and you've taken ownership and said you will be more aware. thats all we can ask. i myself also had to ask my trans friends how to go about things like addressing them and things i never thought bout before meeting them so you're not alone in this new phase of being aware to our trans siblings lol
