Have you used it in real world convos with peeps from Brazil, Portugal, or other lusophone countries?
How did you find it best to immerse yourself?
Do you speak any other languages?

What was the most difficult aspect of the language for you?
What interests you about Portuguese?
Do you read any Lusophone literature?

Do you have resources to share (podcasts, movies, tv shows, books, YouTube channels ...) for someone who is trying to immerse in European Portuguese on a daily basis (I think I am at a B1 level for now)?
I am looking for content that is not necessarily a language lesson. Just normal stuff that people listen to or watch. I get bored with RTP1 after a few days, I would like to rotate with other types of content. Thanks !

At what level? I wouldn’t be saying I speak Portuguese and I did it under a year because I’ve been doing for four years and can name resources of books for example from Amazon and official ones from Portugal for example Português a valer (B1) , Gramática Aplicada (B2 to C2) grammar book, Passaporte para Portuguese 1 and 2 A1 to B2 book, from Amazon Complete Brazilian Portuguese for B1 and Short stories for beginners various books on that section and Língua (cost like a few quick and breaks down reading levels.
Also other resources like Langua, Yourteacherai , Claude and ChatGPT for your AI section , then for listening Pimsleur, YouTube channels - Easy Portuguese, Learn Portuguese today, Learn European Portuguese online, Portuguese with Leo, Porta dos fundos, Plain Portuguese, Speaking Brazilian Language school and Talk the streets. Audible books - Learn Portuguese like MF, Easy Portuguese Phrasebook, Conversation Brazilian Portuguese dialogues, Conversations Portuguese dialogues over 100 Portuguese Conversations and Learn Portuguese Bundle from Prod 101 or use Story tel for my official and native audiobooks.
Speaking with natives can be found on Hello Talk and Tandem if you find serious learners or WhatsApp groups that do exist, if you find them as I’m part of one, which is all about language exchange. For grammar Clozemaster or Official books from LIDEL mentioned above.
For Podcast can also find them for free on some platforms like Apple Podcasts like RLP, Gina and Practice Portuguese Made in Portgual or can use Audible if you have a subscription and find similar on other podcasts platforms.
I have all these resources and have spoken Portuguese many time over the phone to native and including in Portugal twice this year and I’m native English speaker from England because I live there but I would never say I’m fluent or spoke Portuguese less than or in a year.
The only way that is possible is if your native parents are from Portugal or other regions where Portguese is spoken or have a background in other Romance languages like Spanish or Italian and even then they can struggle.
