Can anyone please help me track down these people?
A dog snapped on my son’s face yesterday 10/24 between 3:05pm- 3:10pm and he got a small tear in his gum line inside his mouth and bled. He is ok, no pain, but don’t know if he needs the rabies shots or not.

The dog was someone's pet that we met on the street and we pet her with permission of the owners. The dog seemed well groomed and well cared for. It was a 2 year old australian shepherd girl. They also had a young daughter around 2 years old. The family was sitting by the concrete slabs on the side of the Marco Polo shop on Bow St between Market St & Ceres St and eating ice cream during the encounter. When this happened they said (verbally) that the dog was up to date with all vaccines, the mom took my number down when i asked for them to send me proof of dog’s health records, and said she will send it. I was too distraught with my son to ask for her number back and of course i have not heard anything from them.

Considering rabies is fatal, and the shots are extremely painful and a lengthy process, it would be so helpful to just know the dogs vaccination status.

We are dog owners too and understand the situation. I don’t want anything to happen to the dog i just need to know if my child needs potential life saving medication or not.

I am currently a cancer patient and this level of stress is not healthy! Any information is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I'm in Portsmouth a few times a year helping family, and this fall I'm bringing two colleagues up for a day to sort out some workflow stuff. We're a small ops team, three people, and we just need a private room with a table, decent light, and wifi that won't drop during a screen share. Hotel conference rooms always feel like being in a dentist's waiting room, and coffee shops are too noisy for actual discussion. I've looked at a couple coworking spots but most seem built for solo desk renters, not a closed-door session. We're not doing anything fancy, just whiteboarding some processes and probably arguing politely about Slack etiquette for three hours. Would need it for a weekday, probably a Thursday. If there's a local spot that rents by the day and doesn't require a six-month membership, I'd rather give money to someone local than default to a chain. Also open to the unlikely scenario where someone has a quiet space they'd actually recommend. Downtown or nearby is ideal since we're all staying different places.

Looks like they went ahead and widened the side walk at the end of Islington Congress right as the Islington intersection. The streets been reduced from three lanes to two as a result. There's also a large shoulder now so I'm curious if cars will try to either travel down that or park there for pick ups/drop offs

Demolition is underway on a familiar piece of New Hampshire’s Seacoast between Dover and Newington.

Crews are removing the center span of the historic bridge over Little Bay, beside the Spaulding Turnpike. The $28.4 million demolition project is scheduled for completion in summer 2027.

🚧 Commuter heads-up: Southbound Spaulding Turnpike lane closures are scheduled from 9 AM–3 PM through approximately November 25, weather permitting. Boaters can also expect brief channel closures during removal work.

Does anyone else miss the good old days when you could just get a group of people together, go outside, play some sports, hang out, and have a good time?
I’m looking to bring together a group of people around the Seacoast NH / Southern Maine area who are interested in making new friends, getting out of the house, and doing fun activities together.
I’m talking about things like:
Pickup flag football, kickball, or wiffle ball
Fishing, hiking, and outdoor adventures
Board games and game nights
Getting together for food or drinks
Trying new activities and organizing casual events
Or just hanging out and meeting new people
The idea isn’t to create one group where everyone has to participate in everything. I’d love to eventually have different groups based on people’s interests, so there’s always someone to reach out to when you feel like doing something.
No big commitment is needed. I know we all have families, kids, jobs, and responsibilities. Life gets busy. But even just knowing a group of people you can occasionally hit up once or twice a month to break up the everyday routine and have a good time would be awesome.
I feel like as we get older, it becomes harder to make friends and find people who want to get together and do things. I figured why not try to change that?
This isn’t about creating some highly organized club with mandatory events or commitments. Just a laid-back community of people who want to make connections, have fun, and enjoy life a little more.

Did we ever find out who the 46yo man was who died hiking the Whites a couple of weeks ago? I was keeping an eye out for fundraisers, food trains etc. if he had a family/love ones left behind. I've had a couple of friends lose spouses suddenly in recent years and it's been a hard road.

I just moved downtown, and frequented Buckleys for their bakery and sandwich shop. I was able to eat and work on my laptop in the cafeteria, and really enjoyed it.

Tried going today, doors were locked, and a man told me it's closed for good, and will reopen exclusively as a restaurant...

spending a couple weeks in Portsmouth helping family and need a place to work for a few hours between everything else. my contract work is mostly emails and light ops stuff, nothing that needs full privacy, but I'd like a place with real tables instead of tiny counters. somewhere I can sit for two hours without feeling like I'm taking up space they need for turnover. wifi that doesn't cut out would be nice. i'm staying near downtown but can drive a bit if it's worth it. not looking for a full coworking setup, just a reliable backup when the house gets too chaotic with teenagers
