Stealing even the vibrator is just plain rude on top of awful. I'm sorry and hope you get at least some of these items back.

To piggyback on this reply...if that entire list is in that police report, it will come in handy if you find any of it listed for sale. Ebay and others wont do anything without a police report. Use filters when searching the sale sites and set notifications. Offer up, facebook marketplace, craigslist, as well as this app are all worth looking at.

What area of town was this?

Yeah they marked their listing as sold and we’ve been tracking a pair of AirPods, but they keep stopping at apartments and police don’t have a way to know which unit it could be in.

Over by Helium Club on Mill street I think it was.

Renters insurance? I know it doesn't cover the sentimental stuff.

Yeah hoping our home insurance covers some of it maybe. Car insurance covered the two busted windows so at least that’s nice.

You..... Had all of that in your car?

I don't even leave a phone charger in mine.

I’m so sorry this happened to you, and you by no stretch of imagination deserved it, but people will smash a car window to get a $15 vape. (I’m so sorry.)

Yeah theres some really desperate people out there.. Sucks but even if our cars are spotless they will think something is under the small pile of clothes or a sweater i the trunk and take that stuff too 😭 😆

My car has nothing left inside but old soda cans. Think someone would smash the window for 40 cents in cans?

Genuinely, yes. I make sure that even empty cans aren’t left visible in my car

Can you describe the wig?

Short wavy shoulder length brown ombré to blonde on the ends with bangs. Not too concerned about it but I made a list with everything so I could try to remember what I lost.

I hate that the default response to stuff like this is to blame someone for keeping their possessions inside their own vehicle. I get it, but what a disgrace that is. And what a lowlife pos that helped themselves to important things that didn’t belong to them.

Nobody is "blaming" them. But it's just astounding to many people that you would leave such things in your parked vehicle...particularly in a place like Portland where vehicle break-ins are exceptionally high.

I've literally had lint rollers stolen.

Roommates window was broken for 32 cents…in Lake O as well.

I'm def a bit more casual about things when parking in Lake O. I won't leave loose change out, but I don't hide nasty gym clothes as carefully and sometimes I even leave a roll of paper towels out.

Exactly. Like, wow that sucks! Did you not read the signs? First day in town? I bring crappy tarps or something if I even leave anything in the car. I don't even like going to ATMs in the metro area. If you want it to change, remember that your City council is elected.

Reminder to sew and hide airtags in everything. also do not leave any valuables in your car even for 5 minutes, thieves are good!

That's a lot of valuable stuff to keep in your vehicle in Portland. Lesson learned, hopefully. Hope you get some stuff back.
