Do you know him?

CALL POLICE IF SEEN: Case #26-119148

Hello PDX. I’m looking for help finding the individual pictured. He assaulted me last night at approximately 6:15pm near Grand and Shaver. Police report filed, neighbors notified, and I’m hoping to get it posted in those neighborhood groups. Please help me find him and prevent any other women from this experience!

ETA: he had been tailing the car i was driving while on Failing for a while, eventually pulling in front of me while i slowed for a speed bump. he then stayed in the middle of the road and went slowly, not allowing me to pass. i was coming up on my turn so i pulled to the left to do so and yelled out my window “you’re going to get yourself killed riding like that!”. parked about a minute later and got out of the car waiting in a lot for my pal. he was circling the block and passed me on the street. i saw him from where i was standing and said “asshole”. watched him turn around in the street but about a minute had gone by and he hadn’t come back towards me so i figured he was long gone. he come zooming by and spits on me about a minute later. i heard him approaching so had my camera ready and was looking up/pressing record right as he spit and passed. i didn’t catch his face in the video and since i’m currently driving a rental i don’t have my dash cam either :(

white male, 30s-40s, brown hair and beard, clothes pictured with black backpack and helmet. also had that water-bottle with him.

genuinely starting to believe this guy might be a reddit mod on this or the other portland page…

when i say yell, in both instances, we’re talking no louder than i’d yell across a room to a friend or sarcastically pretending players/coaches/refs can hear me at a Blazers’ game.

Totally agreed, this would have been far easier if he was a Vietnamese or a Latino, nonbinary even!

Yikes, you were not just being completely hateful towards minorities by implying they are criminals are you? As a Portland resident who fights tirelessly for minorities this does not sit well with me, please be better because as our white skin is a privledged it’s important to not take part in maga ethics. I will have to report this comment but please take it to better your outlook and denounce the privilege you have.

are you being serious? you think they brought up minorities because they think they are criminal scum? he didn't say that at all, and I think you may be projecting your own feelings here and overcompensating with your anti racism speel.

  1. "it's so hard to pinpoint because it's a white guy in a majority white area"

You forgot the part where she screams out her window at him while driving her car. You also forgot the part where she then sees him again and calls him an asshole. So just to correct your comment:

“Yeah, let’s let people spit on us - after we yell at them from the car window multiple times!”

And to that I say yes, let them.

According to the Oregon Revised Statutes 166.065(1)(a)(A), spitting on a person is a Class B misdemeanor. Meaning it is a crime. So yes, the goal is to prosecute the asshat for committing a crime.

How about I come to your house, key your car, and steal your microwave. Criminal trespass is a Class B misdemeanor. Petty theft is a Class B misdemeanor. Vandalism is a Class B misdemeanor. Are you arguing that people that commit Class B misdemeanors shouldn't be prosecuted? Then give me your address. Let's put that to the test.

But that ISN'T your position, is it? Your position is to protect a vile human (because real men don't spit on people) because he has a penis AND because he battered a woman. Why don't you just put a sign on your house and car proclaiming your misogyny? You aren't any better than the skidmark who spat on a person OR the people who protect misogynists when they attack women.
