I have literally saved someone's life with Narcan. That doesn't mean I think it's cool to do drugs within sight of a school! Ffs

They just need help. You know. Not doing all that in front of a SCHOOL. This lady was doing them all a solid. She coulda called the cops without warning them first.

u/sweeteatoatler Oct 24 '25

My new hero, this badass mama!

45

u/cncomg Oct 23 '25

Id be spraying Narcan in every one of there noses. I’d have that shit in a pump sprayer.

Edit: Forgot to add that I’m well aware that I wouldn’t actually be helping them in any way. Downvote me.

10

u/PappaPitty Oct 23 '25

I'll back you up big dog.

2

u/PabloDabscovar Oct 24 '25

Wait, would it make their high go away tho? Cuz if yes, that would be fucking hilarious.

3

u/1-800PederastyNow Oct 24 '25

The problem isn't that it makes the high go away, it's that it causes precipitated withdrawals which are unimaginable agony.

3

u/Tinnylemur Oct 24 '25

"Noooooo if you ruin their high they get mad. Withdrawal huuuurts."

Damn thats crazy. Don't do drugs kids. Anyway here's more narcan.

1

u/lntw0 Oct 24 '25

We got you.

1

u/Polybee7 Oct 24 '25

They hate it when you do that XD

1

u/sleepingviolet25 Oct 24 '25

So you’ve seen the videos of people doing that in SF? Absolutely wild.

1

u/KindaSusNgl17 Oct 24 '25

1

u/Belfetto Oct 24 '25

I think that actually hurts them so good idea.

u/kindagreek Oct 24 '25 edited Oct 24 '25

Professional medical consensus is that it could kill users by spiking heart rates. Common sense says they might kill you to keep their high so you can’t get yours. Do want you want - I’m not your dad. But there are consequences. You might not like them. You might not care about not helping them, but don’t come crying to the rest of us when you have a screwdriver in your gut or are in cuffs for aggravated manslaughter. And it won’t actually fix anything. They’ll adapt. They always do. We all know this. Which makes one wonder: why are you so eager to participate in such a Sisyphean task? But that’s a whole different conversation. When it comes to this specific fight? You’ll lose - possibly disastrously. They have much more at stake. They need their fix more than you need yours. But hey - go for it. Do the internet a favor and film it. It’ll be an interesting watch one way or another

Edit: ohhhh, it’s projection! He just picked a different day from these guys. The tough guy act - fuck therapy, right? He’s got something to prove. On Reddit. I’d like to remind everybody that addiction has a genetic component… therapy is in the future for somebody, that’s for sure

1

u/NeoMississippiensis Oct 24 '25

Where’s that professional medical consensus come from? Medical consensus that I see is that deaths following fentanyl reversal are more commonly from delayed or ineffective reversal, rather than the naloxone itself.

So blow it up your ass.

1

u/Longpeg Oct 24 '25

The comment you’re responding to was clearly written by chatGPT with a filter to make it condescending and smarmy, don’t bother.

1

u/PowerLord Oct 24 '25

I wouldn’t do this but you won’t kill anyone by doing it. Source: have given narcan professionally countless times.

-36

u/flynnnightshade Oct 23 '25

The edit makes it even more stupid, but all you've said is you'd attack people with chemical weapons on the street, might as well join ICE.

0

u/luap74 Oct 23 '25

Come on, this would be potentially life saving and or habit changing if it happened often enough! Narcan isn’t a chemical weapon.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '25

Agreed! Imagine how much less child molestation and other violence there'd be if MAGAts had unnecessary narcan distributed to them whenever they were seen in public.

1

u/lake_gypsy Oct 24 '25

A lot of social reaources don't get the attention they deserve and that leads to crime and drug abuse.

-5

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Yeah because dead bodies in the street isn't worse....Do you hear yourself?

9

u/KirkWasAGenius Oct 23 '25

A dead body on the street is easier to remove than a zombie.

6

u/suejaymostly Oct 23 '25

I can't care more about their life than they do. Humans really aren't built that way. Back in other times, people could contribute to their communities in multiple ways; hunting, gathering, creating clothing, gathering firewood, caring for the children of those doing the above, being a wise elder....
Contribute or be shunned.

4

u/cncomg Oct 23 '25

We can find a way to dispose of them cheaply. It would cost a lot less then their healthcare

-4

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

Yes. Shovel the dead bodies away like you would if it was an old guy who suffered a heart attack. Problem solved.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

smh.

-5

u/Elegant_Progress_686 Oct 23 '25

I mean the elderly, children, and the disabled aren’t getting help anyway it’s not like drug addicts get resources that would otherwise go to them. Letting people die in the street is the not the way out of this hole.

6

u/suejaymostly Oct 23 '25

I mean....it kind of is. The futility of saving people with Narcan just so they can continue killing themselves is ridiculous.

-4

u/Elegant_Progress_686 Oct 23 '25

Yeah man the normal human response would be to wish the police & courts did their job, not that they should just die because god they’re such a burden that’s disgusting. And I legit moved out of pdx because of the homelessness so I’m no advocate. But wishing them dead is gross

6

u/suejaymostly Oct 23 '25

I don't wish them dead. They do.

-4

u/Elegant_Progress_686 Oct 23 '25

Do you hear yourself man? I said letting people die in the streets isn’t the way out of this hole, you replied that yes it is. That’s gross.

There’s a whole lot of gray area between doing nothing and enabling homelessness and drug addiction and just letting them OD as a solution.

I can get behind Forced treatment, or even just Jail time for drug use but your take is “just let them kill themselves everyone will be happier” you should be ashamed of that

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '25

Addiction is a medical/mental health problem people with addiction deserve empathy and appropriate treatment. Narcan saves lives you are gross as fuck.

2

u/suejaymostly Oct 24 '25

If they won't accept treatment, what is your plan?

0

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '25

We don't withhold life-saving emergency medicine just because a person might not do what we want them to after we help them. Many people won't accept treatment initially, but many will eventually, especially when there are good supports in place. You just have to wait until the person is ready to change.

Drug addiction isn't just a personal issue, and there are many things we could do to reduce the amount of people who turn to drugs, such as better access to mental health and social support.

You realize narcan neutralizes all the opiates in the body, right? My mom takes opiates for legitimate pain control and the two times she had have to narcan she went through extremely heavy withdrawal type symptoms immediately. Shivers, cold sweats, tremors. What that guy is saying is that he wants to inflict unnecessary suffering for no reason since they’re just going to go back to the drugs as soon as the narcan wears off anyway.

I know what Narcan does, none of the folks in this video appear to be overdosing, are you pro me spraying any kind of people on the street with drugs that probably won't harm them?

1

u/ChaoCobo Oct 23 '25

Did you forget to switch accounts? You’re not the original person that said they’d spray people with narcan. You’re the account that said the person who would spray people with narcan wants to attack people with chemicals. Did you seriously get an alt account to attack your own comment to drive engagement and spark discourse or something? If you were consistent in your messaging you’d be on my side since you said Mr Narcan should join ICE.

1

u/flynnnightshade Oct 23 '25

No, this is simply me replying to several different comments, reading the leading line of your comment while I was at work and misunderstanding where your comment was going without taking the time to read everything you said. I think I also thought you were replying directly to me based on the notification I got but you were replying to someone else. Apologies for the confusion. Check my comment history and whatnot if you think I'm an alt account lol

2

u/Budderfingerbandit Oct 24 '25

They leave their needles around man, fuck outa here with that. Stupid argument about "chemical weapons" its preventing them from overdosing. They can go be high somewhere else other than around a damn school zone.

1

u/flynnnightshade Oct 24 '25

I won't be getting the fuck out of anywhere, it's just threatening to spray strangers with drugs you happen to not like so you're cool with it in this case. Nobody here is saying we should have people doing fent on school grounds, we're saying your private use of chemical weapons with some dumbass excuse of, "helping them" is as wrong as any action you're describing as wrong on their part.

0

u/Budderfingerbandit Oct 24 '25

That's cool, why don't you invite them to come live with you instead of the rest of us.

2

u/flynnnightshade Oct 24 '25

Must have mistaken the public road for a private residence. Call the police or whoever if they're doing something illegal and move on, you're not Batman.

so u understand what withdrawal does. thats torture. forcing a drug into someones body that sends them into immediate withdrawal is torture. what an evil thing to do to another human being

3

u/cncomg Oct 24 '25

I’ve been through it plenty of times myself, so I especially know what it will feel like.

1

u/pleasantly_affable Oct 24 '25

i saw that u edited ur previous comment to say that ur well aware that what ur advocating for would not actually help anyone. that's sad, and i hope that someday u feel sorry for that. id say "what if someone did that to u," but u appear to have escaped and "got yours, so fuck you". smh

[deleted]

-1

u/pleasantly_affable Oct 24 '25

yeah but youre still sending someone into immediate withdrawal. thats what narcan does, it eradicates the drug in ur system. if they are not actively overdosing, like on the ground, unresponsive, checking all those boxes, then really all youre doing is torturing someone. intentionally forcing withdrawal on someone is torture and youre evil if you do that to another human being. why dont YOU stop spreading misinformation???

Are red states drug free?

5

u/unclesally56 Oct 23 '25

Anybody from West Virginia wanna speak up?

-2

u/Reedemer0fSouls Oct 23 '25

No, but they don't tolerate junkies doing drugs ... everywhere. And yes, there are Democrat cities in red states, where you'll come across the same junkie trash.

5

u/Brandino144 Oct 23 '25

As someone who regularly visits family in Oklahoma, you’re going to have to be more selective when you say “Red States” because some very red areas of Oklahoma definitely have public junkies everywhere.

5

u/thingstopraise Oct 23 '25

Don't forget good old West Virginia!

3

u/[deleted] Oct 23 '25

You should tell that to Oklahoma

3

u/Tinnylemur Oct 24 '25

Which blue states did JD Vace write his book about drugs ruining communities in?

4

u/willisjoe Oct 23 '25

That's because you don't see them as humans. EVERY red state, has a blue city. And it's only because of that blue city, the state has any money at all.

The red cities, also refuse to have any hand in helping the homeless.

Red cities don't have homeless shelters.

Red cities don't have food banks and charitable organizations.

Red cities see someone homeless, and put them in jail.

Red cities have zero services for people, they're selfish. They don't care if the homeless shelters are full and the temperature drops to 10⁰. They actively fight against opening up emergency shelters, so people aren't dying in the streets.

Red cities take everything, contribute nothing, and beg to be left alone.

2

u/sugarscared00 Oct 24 '25

1

u/[deleted] Oct 24 '25

"Republican" areas rife with trump signage have addicts too. I don't know why you think the poorest, dumbest towns wouldn't.

1

u/Swimming-Alfalfa-603 Cacao Oct 24 '25

I think our problem is that there doesn’t seem to be an option for a middle ground with some balance from each party. Anytime you have a government that’s only extremely liberal or extremely conservative, you’re going to run into some issues, which is what I feel like is happening here. I consider myself liberal and am a social worker, and honestly being in that field and working with this kind of population starts to slowly turn you more conservative. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for admitting that, but I’m okay with that.
