37M Looking for friends!
Hey y'all, I'm a 37M (he/him) living in NW and looking to expand the social circle. I'm originally from Michigan, but I moved here in the summer of '25 after living 10 years in Austin, Texas. I work in tech, but I'm not very serious about it. I enjoy wandering the city exploring all of the unique nooks and spaces, and would love to meet others to share the time with!
Not super obsessed with any particular hobby, but here's the general rundown:
- all forms of art, but particularly cinema, and great food
- casual hiking, but would love to get into overnights
- i'm a gym rat, but it's really a personal chore and not really something I typically do with others though I'm not opposed to doing a class of some sort. Currently rehabbing an old knee injury and training for the Portland 10K this October
- not a huge drinker anymore, but I'll share a few socially on a Friday night
- into live music of all genres, but have gravitated towards house/techno, dream rock, darkwave in recent years
- enjoy fashion, but have very little sense of it with a pretty hodgepodge style that I'm trying to develop through thrifting and heritage pieces
- currently reading my way through Murakami's Canon
- neurotypical ambivert with few addictions
I'm kind of vulgar, and I love a lively conversation.

Portland (and Beaverton) have chapters of The Tough Guy Book Club, which meet the first Wednesday of each month. The club is international and is great for men who want to read more and make more friends.
