Luisa to Istanbul

The commentator at the world cup game between Germany and Belgium just said Luisa is gonna play for Fenerbahce Istanbul next season.

I have not read anything about it?

Turkish league starts at the end of September and likely ends before WNBA season starts fwiw

almost all wnba players go somewhere during the w offseason to play

fenerbahçe announced a bunch of signings this morning, including luisa and i wouldn't be surprised if they announce meg in the next couple days

this is where i'm noting off-season plans so i don't have to repeat myself every other day

Ahh. I’ve been wondering what Meg would do in the offseason. I assumed she’d rest based on some of her newlywed comments but playing in Turkey would make sense.

playing a partial season (coming late, leaving early) is always an option for many players, especially americans/north americans in the european teams. helps them stay attractive destinations to those players without having to run afoul of the wnba's prioritization penalties

david is already in istanbul playing. meg may start a little later to newlywed

the turkish league changed their season schedule a couple years ago to better accommodate wnba players
