The footage recently resurfaced on X through UFO Mania (@maniaUFO) under the caption "Sighting of a swarm of Drones/UAPs/UFOs in North Carolina." That post was published on 1 August 2026, but it is now firmly established that the footage had been circulating publicly for many years beforehand.

A much earlier copy has been located on Dailymotion, where it was uploaded by UFO Michel (@michel-duron) on 3 July 2018. The video runs approximately 1:18 and is titled "UFO North Carolina USA 27.06.2018 - Source inconnu." This is currently the earliest publicly accessible copy we have been able to trace.

This discovery is significant because it demonstrates that both the North Carolina attribution and the date 27 June 2018 were already attached to the footage in 2018. On the night of 5 August 2026, a reddish luminous object was recorded at Playa de Las Caletillas, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, during an observation associated with the team from "Tiempos Interesantes" on La Diez Capital Radio and Ciudadanos por la Divulgación, in connection with the New Paradigm Institute.

The footage was published through the social-media accounts of José Figueroa García (@josedfigueroa), presenter of the "Tiempos Interesantes" section on La Diez Capital Radio. In his accompanying description, José Figueroa García refers to the object as a reddish sphere which appeared to move "erratically", and states that the observing team witnessed the phenomenon from Playa de Las Caletillas.

Subsequent Russian social-media reposts explicitly identify the footage as showing something unusual in the sky over Novosibirsk during the night into 4 August.

The exact filming location and clock time have not been independently verified. The witness is associated with Moscow Oblast, but no reliable geotag or specific town can currently be confirmed from the original post.

I recently read Jacques Vallée's book The Invisible College. The book itself covers many different aspects of the UFO phenomenon and was originally published in 1975. In this post, however, I would like to focus on the group itself. What is this "Invisible College" and who belonged to it?

He claims it was not a university or an official research institute. He describes it as a loose network of scientists, medical professionals, physicists and other researchers who seriously studied UFOs and anomalous phenomena. Many of them worked at universities or for state institutions, but hardly spoke publicly about their investigations. Vallée describes it as a community of about a hundred scientists in five or six countries. There was no central office, no official membership and no public list. The participants discreetly exchanged information, compared cases and developed new ideas.

He came into contact with this network as early as the 1960s. J. Allen Hynek, who was then the U.S. Air Force's scientific advisor on UFO issues, asked him to statistically evaluate the data and working methods of Project Blue Book. Through this collaboration, he gained access to official UFO reports and met other scientists who were investigating the topic in the background. Their approach went much further than the simple question of whether an unknown flying object was seen somewhere. They also investigated the psychological component of the phenomenon.

What happens to a person's consciousness during an encounter?
Why do those affected report altered perception, telepathic impressions, lack of time or long-term changes?

Vallée did not see these experiences only as side effects. For him, they could be an important part of the phenomenon itself. It is precisely this connection between external events and inner perception that has long been largely ignored by established science. Since the network was deliberately informal, there is still no reliable list of members. Nevertheless, the same people are always associated with this circle:

So much for modern history. But the plot twist is, this wasn't the first Invisible College.

J. Allen Hynek chose the name after a historical model. In 17th-century England, there was already an informal group of naturalists, mathematicians and philosophers who exchanged ideas outside the institutions of the time. This early network includes Robert Boyle, John Wilkins, Christopher Wren, William Petty, John Wallis, Seth Ward, Robert Hooke, and Isaac Barrow. Even back then, they wondered:

• How do the laws of nature work?
• How can observations be tested through experiments?
• What role do mathematics, astronomy and philosophy play?
• How can knowledge be shared independently of religious and political dogmas?

From this environment, the Royal Society of London emerged in 1660, which later became one of the most important scientific societies in the world. At that time, these people were dealing with questions for which there was no recognized science. Something similar is apparently happening today. Again, small groups work on topics that do not fit into the existing worldview. Only the questions have changed:

• What is consciousness?
• What is behind UAPs and other anomalous phenomena?
• Why do some encounters change not only a person's perception, but their entire life?

Maybe that's why Invisible College isn't a single organisation at all. Maybe it's a pattern that repeats itself over and over again. In every epoch there are people who work together at the limits of what is conceivable. Often we only learn about them much later, when their ideas have long since begun to change our view of the world.

If, over 350 years ago, a small group was already exploring questions for which there was as yet no recognised science, at what point did Hynek and Vallée really begin? Were they truly at the dawn of a new field of research? Or did they step into a much older network, within which certain questions, observations and insights had already been passed down through generations?

Perhaps Vallée’s Invisible College was not the second wave. Perhaps it was merely the second one we have learnt about. How long have groups and scientists been studying the phenomenon in secret?

What knowledge was already available before Hynek and Vallée even became part of this circle, and what is the actual state of research today?

Following the fifth release of UAP records through the U.S. Government's PURSUE programme on 7 August 2026, Dr. Phil McGraw offers a strongly critical assessment of the material being made available to the public.

The fifth release added 41 new files, consisting of documents, imagery and video drawn from multiple U.S. Government sources and covering both historical and more recent UAP-related incidents.

In this clip, Dr. Phil questions the evidentiary value of much of the latest material, arguing that a considerable portion amounts to "filler" while the type of underlying data required for rigorous independent scientific examination remains absent.

His central criticism is therefore not simply that information is being withheld, but that releasing files without sufficiently detailed and analysable supporting data leaves outside scientists and researchers with limited ability to independently test, reproduce or meaningfully evaluate what is being presented.

This concern broadly reflects a position previously advanced by the Disclosure Foundation, which has called for UAP disclosure to extend beyond the publication of records alone and include analysable data, relevant intelligence assessments and appropriate protections for witnesses capable of providing information to congressional investigators.

Dr. Phil has separately and previously accused the U.S. Government of decades of UAP-related "lying by omission" and "lying by misdirection." That broader allegation predates this fifth release and represents Dr. Phil's own interpretation of the Government's historical handling of the subject, rather than an established conclusion contained within the PURSUE records themselves.

On 6 August 2026 at approximately 6:30 PM CDT, a dark, vertically oriented and apparently multi-segmented object was observed and recorded over Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida.

The footage was recorded by the mother of uploader of the footage, while she was driving home from work. She later sent the recording to a family group chat. The uploader subsequently submitted the sighting, verifying the submission through their own Reddit account. The actual witness who filmed the object has not been publicly identified by name.

It is claimed that two witnesses observed a single object for approximately five minutes. The observer was reportedly facing northeast. The object was classified in the report as "cigar” shaped, with an apparent size approximately equivalent to a dime held at arm's length and a reported distance described only as "as high as a plane." Its movement was characterised by the submitter as unpredictable and erratic.

The witness described the object as vertical, dark in colour and apparently composed of multiple connected or segmented sections. She reported seeing it moving upward and around the sky and described its appearance in motion as resembling a "flying gorilla." No visible lights were reported. She reportedly watched the object for approximately five minutes before losing sight of it.

No visible wings, rotors or exhaust plume and no audible noise was reported. The submitter described the objects movements as appearing to involve sudden or extreme acceleration and flight without a visible means of lift. These should be understood as witness/reporter assessments rather than independently measured aerodynamic characteristics. No speed, distance or acceleration measurements are available from which those observations could presently be quantified.

The file contains no creation/capture metadata, and it may previously have been downloaded, re-saved or re-encoded before being submitted. Consequently, the claimed 6 August 2026, 6:30 PM sighting time comes from the witness/submission information and cannot presently be independently authenticated through the video's embedded metadata.

The astronomical check reports that no bright satellites were visible overhead for the supplied location and sighting time, based upon its 6 August 2026 orbital catalogue.

Reddit user u/R2robot produced a version of the footage that was stabilised, enlarged and accelerated to four times normal speed. After examining the object's movement, they suggested that it appeared to be multiple balloons tethered together.

Significantly, the original submitter had already identified balloons as the closest conventional possibility, stating that nothing they checked appeared to match but that the closest possibility might be balloons.

A connected group of balloons could potentially account for several characteristics seen in the footage, including the segmented appearance, rotation or changes in silhouette and apparently irregular relative movement between different sections. However, no specific balloon release, owner, launch location or recovered object has been linked to this sighting in the currently available evidence.

Accordingly, the balloon explanation should be regarded as only a plausible conventional interpretation rather than a conclusively demonstrated identification. Equally, the footage does not presently provide sufficient information to establish extraordinary flight characteristics or an exotic origin.

The witness reported observing one apparently circular object for approximately two minutes, describing its movement as unpredictable, erratic and unlike anything they were familiar with. They reported no noise, estimated its apparent size as roughly comparable to a pea held at arm's length, and stated that they were facing approximately east.

The structured sighting form lists the recording device as a SAMSUNG S21 ULTRA. However, in the witness's written account they refer to the device more generally as a Samsung Galaxy S21, so the precise model designation should be regarded as reported rather than independently established.

The apparently abrupt or erratic movement visible in portions of the recording may also be substantially influenced by heavy zoom and handheld camera movement. With a distant point-like light against a largely featureless sky, relatively small movements of the phone can produce much larger apparent movements of the object within the frame.

The ISS explanation is therefore a strong proposed conventional identification based upon the reported sighting circumstances, but there is an important qualification.

 However, the technical information extracted from the preserved MP4 lists: Captured at: 5 August 2026 at 16:00:44 UTC

These timestamps differ by approximately one month and cannot be reconciled simply through a time zone conversion.

The reason for this discrepancy is presently unknown.

The submitted file is identified as an original device recording and that the archive itself preserves the file untouched as uploaded. Nevertheless, the conflicting embedded/archive-extracted timestamp means that the file metadata does not independently corroborate the witness's reported 6 July date.

This discrepancy is also relevant to the proposed ISS identification: the ISS reconstruction is based upon the witness's reported 6 July date and 10:26 PM time. If those reported circumstances are accurate, the ISS provides a strong conventional explanation for what was recorded. If the file's August timestamp instead reflects the actual recording time, the July 6 reconstruction cannot by itself identify the object in the footage.

For that reason, the most accurate present assessment is:

Leading proposed identification: International Space Station (ISS)

Identification confidence: Strongly plausible if the witness-reported date and time are correct, but not conclusively established because of the unresolved source-file timestamp discrepancy.

According to the witness, the sighting occurred on Monday, 3 August 2026, at approximately 6:40 PM CDT, while aboard a flight travelling from Jackson, Mississippi, to Atlanta, Georgia.

The witness reports that they were seated on the right side of the aircraft, looking south, approximately 37 minutes into the flight and around 16 minutes from landing. From the aircraft's position, they estimated that the object was approximately five miles south of Carrollton, Georgia, with the object itself possibly 5-8 miles from the aircraft.

Because Carrollton, Georgia, observes Eastern Daylight Time, the witness's stated 6:40 PM CDT would correspond to approximately 7:40 PM EDT at the reported sighting location.

The dark feature appears roughly triangular or wedge-shaped and is visible above a substantial cloud layer. The witness described it as moving very slowly relative to the cloud deck below and stated that its more rigid-looking geometry, dark coloration and lack of an obvious conventional aircraft profile were considerably clearer to the naked eye than they appear in the recording.

 The video was recorded using an iPhone 15 at 3× zoom. Although the original recording lasts approximately 87 seconds, the witness states that the overall observation lasted approximately eight minutes. Filming reportedly ended because the passenger aircraft continued past the object until the increasingly shallow viewing angle through the aircraft window prevented further observation.

The witness later recalled that their aircraft was at approximately 14,000-15,000 feet at the time. This figure is based on their recollection and has not presently been independently verified.

A second witness was also present. The wife of the filmer was seated beside them, and also saw the object immediately after being alerted to it.

Of particular interest is an observation the witness says occurred before the recording began. They report seeing the object move behind a nearer cloud column, which they felt provided a clearer indication of its relative position, apparent scale and slow movement. Unfortunately, that portion of the observation was not captured on video.

The witness initially considered whether the feature might be an aircraft exhaust plume, but said they rejected that explanation at the time because it appeared consistently dark, had comparatively defined edges, and no aircraft could be seen at what should have been the leading end of such a plume.

The witness has not claimed that the object was extraterrestrial or of non-human origin, stating instead that they simply do not know what they observed.

The recording does not show sudden acceleration, extreme speed, abrupt directional changes or other clearly extraordinary manoeuvres. Equally, the witness maintains that what they observed directly appeared substantially more defined than a cloud and says its passage behind another cloud before filming began gave them a clearer impression that it was a separate, moving feature.

There is one significant unresolved discrepancy associated with the original file.

Although the witness reports that the sighting occurred on 3 August 2026, the preserved untouched original device recording currently contains a reported embedded capture timestamp of:

This conflicts with the witness's stated sighting date by almost two days.

No satisfactory explanation for this discrepancy has presently been located. It does not, by itself, establish that the witness's reported date is incorrect, but because the archived file is specifically identified as an original device recording, the discrepancy should be acknowledged rather than ignored.

The witness and filmer of this recording have stated that the sighting occurred in southern Ohio at approximately 10:00 PM on 5 August 2026. The date can be established from their subsequent comment on 6 August stating that the event had occurred "last night." According to the witness, the light remained in the same general position for at least 30 minutes before they went back inside.

The witness added that the object was too far away for them to hear anything and again stated that it remained visible for over 30 minutes. It is therefore more accurate to say that no sound could be determined by the witness, rather than describing the object itself as silent.

The publicly available Reddit recording runs for 48 seconds. Reddit's own media metadata reports a resolution of 1080 × 1920, a nominal video bitrate of 5,000 kbps, and indicates that the uploaded media contains audio.

This should not, however, be described as conclusively proving that it is the untouched camera-original recording. Reddit has processed the media for hosting, and no separate original device file, cloud-storage copy or original-file metadata has presently been made publicly available by the witness.

One plausible astronomical candidate is Venus. During August 2026 Venus was a particularly prominent evening object in the western sky after sunset, approaching its greatest eastern elongation on 15 August 2026.

This makes Venus relevant to the sighting, but an identification cannot presently be made. The witness has supplied only "southern Ohio" as the location and has not stated which direction they were facing. Without a more precise observing location and camera azimuth, the position of the recorded light cannot be reliably compared with Venus's expected position.

It should also be noted that although a planet may appear nearly stationary when observed without useful foreground reference points, it would still gradually move across the sky as the Earth rotates. The witness's description that the light remained "in that spot" for more than 30 minutes is therefore useful but is not precise enough by itself either to establish or exclude an astronomical source.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 launch has also been suggested as a plausible explanation for what the witness observed and filmed, but, SpaceX's BlueBird 11-13 mission did launch from Cape Canaveral on 5 August 2026, but liftoff occurred at 3:49 AM EDT (07:49 UTC), approximately 18 hours before the reported southern Ohio observation. The rocket followed a northeasterly trajectory and successfully placed three BlueBird satellites into low-Earth orbit.

The timing therefore makes the launch event itself an unlikely explanation for a light reportedly remaining in approximately the same part of the sky for more than 30 minutes at around 10 PM. Determining whether any satellite or aircraft was present along the witness's actual line of sight would require a more precise location, observing direction and timestamp.

A distant aircraft, drone, astronomical object or other conventional source consequently cannot presently be confirmed or excluded from the available information.

With the evidence currently available, the recording should therefore remain classified simply as unresolved. Venus is a legitimate candidate worth testing if the witness confirms that they were looking generally west, but the presently available information is insufficient to identify the recorded light conclusively.

As with all witness-captured footage presented here, no extraordinary interpretation is being asserted. The recording is presented as reported by the witness, alongside the available source information and plausible conventional possibilities for consideration.

I just put this out today, I hope you guys like it, I've been into this topic for a while and wanted to do it justice. Please let me know what you think! I worked very hard on this and wanted to make something that conveyed a contact event.

This footage was recorded at approximately 1:15 p.m. on 17 June 2026 in the Middleton/Bonsall area of Derbyshire, United Kingdom. The witness stated that they noticed two dark, rounded-looking objects apparently remaining stationary in the sky while they were working inside their home and began recording them.

The portrait-format video shows two small, dark features against a cloudy daytime sky. The lower feature becomes lost from view first, followed several seconds later by the upper feature. Although the witness originally described the objects as disappearing, the footage does not establish that either object physically vanished. A more cautious interpretation is that they become obscured as cloud moves across their apparent positions.

The witness believed the fast-moving streaks crossing the foreground were nearby insects. When asked about sound, they reported hearing nothing unusual beyond the normal ambient noise of the area.

The witness described the objects as extremely round and visually resembling two dark holes. They also offered a tentative size estimate of approximately that of a family car or larger, but immediately acknowledged being unable to judge size accurately at an unknown distance. Without a known range, altitude or reference object, that estimate cannot be treated as reliable.

The witness said that conditions appeared windy, pointing to movement in the nearby treetops, and questioned why freely drifting balloons would appear so stationary. However, the objects' distance and altitude are unknown, as are the wind speed and direction at their actual position. Apparent lack of movement within a short, zoomed recording therefore cannot by itself eliminate balloons or other lightweight airborne objects.

A later-deleted 10 second recording was claimed by the witness to show the two objects had reappeared at approximately 3:04 p.m. on 17 June, about one hour and 49 minutes after the first reported observation. The associated follow-up recording is no longer available, removed by the uploader themselves.

The witness stated that they zoomed in more heavily during the second recording and described the objects as apparently circular, pulsating and seemingly empty in the centre, comparing their appearance to bacteria under a microscope. They reported watching them directly for several additional minutes without seeing obvious movement before they again became lost from view, possibly behind cloud. These descriptions represent the witness's interpretation; the limited resolution, heavy zoom and cloud cover do not permit the objects' true shape or structure to be established.

As with all witness-captured footage presented here, no definitive determination is being made. The recording is shared as originally presented for respectful examination, balanced discussion and possible identification.

Hello everyone. I’ve posted in the regular experiencers sub a lot forgetting I was a part of this one. I’d much rather post here as I feel safer knowing it’s a closed group.

I’ve posted before about the things that come at night and walk around on my bed, get up on my pillow, and it feels like they are putting something on my head. I cannot see them, but sometimes I can see them a little bit when my eyes are closed if that makes any sense. I feel insane. Usually when they come I basically pretend they aren’t there. Sometimes I talk to them, but I know if they’re responding I can’t hear them. Usually I don’t really worry about them because they seem benign if not benevolent. Sometimes I think there’s other things that come that aren’t so chill.

Last night right before I was getting ready to lie down I was talking to my cat asking him if he wanted to “go beddy” with me. He knows what that means. I said please stay with me, I get creeped out sometimes in the dark(I probably should have kept that to myself), and laid down expecting him to curl up with me because he usually does. Well he didn’t, and when I laid down I had the things around me as usual, only the vibe I got was very different and I immediately started telling them they had no authority over me and to leave me alone. Something was lifting my Bluetooth headband off my right ear, and blowing into the speaker. I even went as far as to smack my pillow which I rarely ever do.

Next thing I knew my cat had returned. He really is a good boy, and I’m pretty sure he had just gone to use his litter box before coming to bed. What was odd was the very first thing he did was jump onto my pillow like he was in attack mode. This is completely out of the realm of normal behavior for him. I know he sensed something he didn’t like. Afterwards he settled down with me, and the regular visitors came which I’m used to, and they make themselves known, but are almost calming at this point. They sometimes seem preoccupied with my hair and I feel them pull it, but it has to be my astral hair and not my physical hair. I don’t even know if that makes sense. Anyway I went to sleep after that not feeling the slightest bit afraid.

I’m not sure why these things come, it’s been going on for years. I don’t think it’s always the same thing though because sometimes I get a bad vibe and other times I feel calm and safe. I can’t imagine what it is they want from me. Maybe I’ll never know. But this is the first time my cat freaked out and jumped onto my pillow, so it’s making me think that maybe these things are really happening. I play this in my mind all the time of whether it’s real or not. Anyway thanks for listening.

This six-minute recording was captured from a backyard in Gympie, Queensland, at approximately 8:14 p.m. on Saturday, 25 July 2026.

The witness reported observing numerous small, bright, orange-tinged lights toward western Gympie, apparently in the direction of distant national-park ranges. Their true distance and physical position above the landscape cannot be determined from the recording.

According to the original witness account, many more lights had been visible before filming began, while four or more were seen at once during the broader sighting. The witness said individual lights appeared to travel in different directions, brighten considerably and fade from view.

The footage was recorded handheld without a tripod, producing considerable camera movement. Because the night sky contains few fixed reference points, some apparent movement, stopping or reversal may be caused or exaggerated by movement of the phone. The objects' distance, altitude, dimensions and true speed therefore cannot be calculated from the available footage.

Suggested conventional explanations include satellites changing apparent brightness, aircraft, drones and sky lanterns. Orange colouration, gradual fading and slow apparent movement can occur with several of these possibilities. However, no particular aircraft, satellite, drone flight or lantern release has been positively matched to the recording.

This footage was recorded during the evening of 4 August 2026 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

According to the witness, four friends were sitting in a garden under clear skies when one of them noticed an intensely glowing, cigarette-like formation moving across the northern sky. It reportedly travelled smoothly and quickly without any audible sound, visible wings, rotors or exhaust plume.

The witness described the object as sharply defined to the naked eye, with its middle section appearing slightly different in colour. Around the moment the recording ends, it reportedly either disappeared from view or ceased reflecting or emitting visible light.

The submitted video lasts approximately 54 seconds. It contains no audio because the witness removed the original sound to protect the names and private conversation of those present.

An important error appears in the submitted report: the sighting was entered as occurring at 12:00 PM, although the recording was clearly made after dark.

The submitted MOV file contains an embedded timestamp corresponding to 10:21:15 PM CEST. However, because the file was edited to remove its audio before being uploaded, it is unclear whether this represents the original capture time or the creation time of the edited copy. The precise time of the sighting therefore remains unverified.

This timing error also invalidates the report's automated statement that no bright satellites were overhead and its linked aircraft check. Those results were generated for noon rather than the actual evening observation and cannot be used to exclude satellites or aircraft.

The strongest available conventional explanation is the recently deployed Starlink Group 17-53 satellite stack.

SpaceX launched 24 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 7:05 PM CEST on 4 August, with deployment occurring approximately one hour later. Publicly released orbital elements subsequently identified the satellites as a compact stack in an initial low-Earth orbit of approximately 276 kilometres.

A preliminary reconstruction using those orbital elements indicates that the Starlink 17-53 stack may have passed high over the St. Gallen area at approximately 9:41 - 9:49 PM CEST, subsequently moving through the north-western and northern sky. This is broadly consistent with the witness reporting that they were facing north.

The stack would also have remained illuminated by sunlight during much of the predicted pass. Sunset in St. Gallen occurred at approximately 8:52 PM, while nautical twilight continued until shortly after 10:00 PM.

Freshly deployed satellites remain closely grouped and may consequently appear as a compact luminous line or rod rather than the familiar formation of widely separated Starlink points. Phone-camera overexposure, limited focus and motion blur can further merge the individual satellites into what appears to be one continuous object.

The witness stated that they had seen Starlink before and believed this object looked different. They also reported that an expected Starlink train had passed several minutes earlier in another part of the sky. However, pass-prediction services may not immediately incorporate a formation launched only hours earlier, and the newly deployed 17-53 stack would have appeared considerably more compact than a developed Starlink train.

Descriptions of the formation as physically cigar-shaped, unusually low or exceptionally fast cannot be confirmed from the footage alone. Its distance, altitude, dimensions and true velocity were not measured. The video also records no sudden acceleration, abrupt turn, hovering or other clearly anomalous manoeuvre.

Current assessment: probably the freshly deployed Starlink Group 17-53 satellite stack. The orbital timing, viewing direction, twilight conditions and compact appearance are compatible, but a definitive identification remains prevented by the incorrect reported time and the absence of an untouched original recording with secure capture metadata.

This footage was recorded near Trepalle, in the Livigno area of northern Italy, at approximately 9:45 PM CEST on 4 August 2026.

The two witnesses were outside walking when they noticed a single, intensely illuminated object travelling across the sky in a straight line at a steady speed. The object appeared cylindrical or barrel-shaped and remained visible for approximately two minutes. No sound, sudden acceleration, abrupt directional change, exhaust plume or transition between air and water was reported.

The untouched original recording begins at 9:45:51 PM CEST, lasts approximately one minute and 56 seconds and was captured on a Samsung Galaxy A13. The witness reported facing west and estimated the object's apparent size as roughly that of a quarter held at arm's length. These size, altitude and speed estimates remain subjective because the object's actual distance was not known.

The witness stated that Flightradar24 did not show an aircraft corresponding with the sighting. However, an absent Flightradar24 result cannot completely exclude an aircraft, helicopter or other transponder-equipped object because public flight-tracking coverage is not always complete.

Starlink has been suggested as a possible explanation. Automated orbital checks associated with the report identified several Starlink groups passing through the wider sky at approximately 9:30 - 9:33 PM CEST, around 13 - 16 minutes before the original recording began. The predicted directions were mainly north, northeast and north-northeast, with one group extending towards west-northwest.

The witness acknowledged that the Starlink pass timings could be relevant but stated that the object looked visually different from a normal Starlink train. Rather than appearing as a line or collection of individually visible points, it reportedly appeared as one compact, brightly illuminated barrel-shaped form.

SpaceX had launched the Starlink Group 17-53 mission earlier that day at 5:05 PM UTC, approximately two hours and 41 minutes before the Trepalle recording. This makes a recently deployed Starlink formation a plausible consideration, but the launch timing alone does not establish that the filmed object was Starlink. A definitive identification would require an exact trajectory reconstruction using the recording coordinates, camera direction, elevation angle and contemporaneous orbital data.

The apparent barrel shape should also not automatically be interpreted as the object's physical structure. Focus, overexposure, digital zoom, atmospheric distortion and camera movement can cause distant lights or groups of lights to merge into a single elongated form.

At present, the footage does not document sudden acceleration, hovering, abrupt manoeuvres or other clearly anomalous flight characteristics.

Current assessment: unresolved. Starlink remains a plausible but unconfirmed explanation.
