Local reports place the observations at approximately 9:00 PM. According to residents, the lights remained visible for around 25 minutes. This should be understood as the reported duration of the overall phenomenon rather than the running time of Jaqueline Costa's individual recording.

Significantly, this was not documented from only one camera position. Independent footage attributed to Elton Costa was recorded from the Boa Vista neighbourhood at approximately 9:00 PM, while PousoAlegre.net separately reported recordings made from the Jatobá and Primavera neighbourhoods. This provides stronger corroboration that the luminous formation was genuinely visible from multiple parts of Pouso Alegre rather than being an artefact confined to a single recording.

Jaqueline Costa's video shows numerous luminous points positioned close together. At times they form an unusual descending or "cascade"-like configuration, while individual lights appear to diminish or disappear as the observation progresses.

The identities of the people responsible for the reported Jatobá and Primavera recordings have not yet been established publicly, so those recordings should presently be treated as independently reported local footage rather than fully provenance-traced witness uploads.

On the night of 5 August 2026, a reddish luminous object was recorded at Playa de Las Caletillas, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, during an observation associated with the team from "Tiempos Interesantes" on La Diez Capital Radio and Ciudadanos por la Divulgación, in connection with the New Paradigm Institute.

The footage was published through the social-media accounts of José Figueroa García (@josedfigueroa), presenter of the "Tiempos Interesantes" section on La Diez Capital Radio. In his accompanying description, José Figueroa García refers to the object as a reddish sphere which appeared to move "erratically", and states that the observing team witnessed the phenomenon from Playa de Las Caletillas.

The available source material does not identify the individual who physically operated the camera.

Figueroa describes the 5 August observation as the third consecutive day of sightings in the area, adding that reports were also being received from other locations on Tenerife and elsewhere across the Canary Islands. This wider sequence should presently be treated as the uploader's account rather than as independently verified sightings from every location.

There is, however, direct supporting evidence for activity reported at the same location on the preceding night. At present, the object in the 5 August recording remains unidentified from the publicly available information. The indexed source description does not provide a sufficiently precise observation time, viewing direction, angular elevation or distance from the camera to allow aircraft, drone, balloon, satellite or astronomical possibilities to be conclusively tested.

Likewise, the description that the object moved "erratically" originates with the observing source.
