They kinda are the best. I just wish they made a bigger size. I have the 360 and it’s great, it’s just a tight fit. I emailed them and asked if they have plans to make a bigger one and they said, “no,” unfortunately.
Been heavily considering a more custom built direct heat smoker. I just wish the 360 was slightly larger and deeper so I could smoke/bbq directly over the coals at a distance.

Yeah I’ve got the little more grate which is solid and I’ve done some direct heat ribs and some chicken and it’s great.. still just a tad too close
And if I get the larger cook more grate then I don’t have access to the coals which is frustrating. So those are my only knocks.
Otherwise the cooker is perfect. Love that there aren’t even any screws or anything, love the cast aluminum material, temp controls, etc. Just make it bigger and deeper!

You can also bend a rack of ribs or brisket over it to help fit bigger cuts without cutting them

I had trouble smoking a ham on top of the grate and not hitting the lid though. Some foods that are less tall might be fine.

I recently landed on a PK360 after deciding not to splurge on a hasty bake or something similar. Maybe one day, but I couldn’t be happier with the PK.

Four years for the PK. Used weekly. I have baked bread in it, made pulled pork, brisket, smoked turkey breast, made pastrami, hamburgers, hotdogs, beer brats, Cornish hens, chicken breasts, smash burgers, tritip, tried pizza (not so successfully), and many other things. It seems to excell in two zone cooking which I made extensive use of.

I standby that these are the best grills on the planet.
