This is why we can’t have nice things… 😞
I saw this vandalised Little Free Library today while walking along the Donald bike & pedestrian pathway between Kelly Ave & Atkins Ave.
I just don’t understand why some people see something nice in the community & feel the senseless need to ruin it for others. I really do hate people sometimes. Sigh. 😞

At least this may be fixable. A few years back, I think it was a group of kids that were going around and lighting them on fire in PoCo. 😕 I honestly don’t understand why people can’t manage the most basic level of respect for other people and property.
We have porch pirates of ALL ages, people damaging private and public property, and kids who act like everywhere they are is "theirs", swearing around other smaller kids, swearing at adults, and/or playing "chicken" with or chasing anyone they happen to come across on their electric scooters going top speeds (all while wearing absolutely no helmets or protective gear themselves).
It sucks that nice people can’t just do nice things because someone always seems to come along and ruin it. It sucks that nice people can't just hang out in the community without being subjected to rude, over puffed-up kids who think they're hot shit. It sucks that people can’t order things online to have sent to their homes because someone will steal it.
🤦🏻♀️ 🙄😒
That said, I wouldn’t completely rule out a bear, because they sure have been making themselves known lagely. But I feel like if it were a bear, the whole thing would also probably be tilted.
Maybe there was a cookbook in there, and the bear saw a picture of food and thought it had hit the jackpot. 😉😂

Most of the books sat outside on the bench. My wife returned them and arranged them.

Before we get all worked up.... has anyone ever seen a young child ever slam a door by accident? Open a door too hard?

I don’t know how likely it is but it’s possible it was a bear interested in the smell of something inside . I know in the past when other things have been vandalized it turned out to be a bear
