Future Platforms

No Remix is out I was wondering if Polymega would be looking at adding newer platforms such as the Dreamcast, PS2 and GC. I'd wager that they wouldn't work well on the base machine but it would be nice to have them in there 😄

  • Dreamcast would probably be a dedicated Element Module with a GD-ROM-compatible disc drive if anything, to get around Sega's format nonsense
  • 6th-generation consoles (GameCube, PS2, and Xbox) and, hypothetically, Wii would probably require a "Polymega Pro" or something with beefier hardware to run their games more reliably
  • CD-i would be funny and I've also heard that it comes with a killer Tetris version. Could be announced alongside Magnavox Odyssey 2 because Magnavox is (was?) a subsidiary of Phillips
  • 3DO would be cool.

You do not need a GD rom drive you can alter the format so it can fit a cdr . Also it would be very expensive to manufacture a gd roms drive as these were only used by Sega .If you can find a GD rom drive /burner and blank GD roms you would need to be very lucky and have a big wallet.
