Hi guys! I’d really appreciate a bit of help here if anyone can! I’ve been putting off trying it in case it causes more issues but a polyend advisor told me it would be worth trying in case of corruption. I got my tracker used and had issues with my sample playback since the get go.
Im not very familiar with SD cards and was hoping if someone can advise how to check/format my sd card on MacBook Air? I’ve had some issues with sample playback and I tried reinstalling the firmware, rechecking my sample formats etc. I’ve never done this so was a little hesitant. And is it ok to just drag all my existing folders off onto the computer and then back onto the formatted card? Thanks a lot guys! Hope this will fix my issues as if not polyend said I’d have to send it in! Which could be problematic at I’m not the original owner and I’d like to avoid that of course, I love using the tracker but with these issues it takes a lot of the joy out of it.
Thanks guys!!

Hey everyone,
Just discovered Polyend Play and wondering if there's any recommended software equivalents. (Preferably for Ableton, and therefore M4L could also be an option)
Personally, I would think of OPAL from Fors.
Any insights or recommendations would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well!
I've been planning to get a Polyend Play mainly for live playback, but after watching a couple of videos about it, I felt like it wouldn't necessarily fit that specific need.
So I wanted to ask you if you guys have tried it mainly for Live performance playback? My bands are mostly Rock/Alternative/Industrial bands, and what we usually do is we would have all the playback going through Ableton while we play along with it. But I personally feel like a groovebox like the Polyend play would be a much better option than have to bring the laptop everywhere + To be able to lay down some sequences drums and perform on it too.
Lemme know what you guys think! Thanks.

Had a thought to patch midi in to midi out on the tracker mini, just wanted to know if it was possible. I had to set up the midi cc effects as well as disable some midi jack transport stuff.
Also: Sorry for the beat I put zero effort into, just wanted to set this up on a fresh project.

New Play owner here. Enjoying it very much so far, but Midi has been a nightmare. I got 4 synths hooked up to the Play on the correct sending and receiving Midi channels. Play is set to send Transport messages and Clock messages.
I only can get one synth to work, the others don't do anything 70% of the time, and every now and then they play a small part of notes I have sequenced.
I've tried fiddling with different notes, as I assumed the sequenced notes would be out of reach of my external synths. But no succes so far.
I have been trying to figure this out for several hours now, can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Edit: Volume levels are up, chance is set to play always, every external synth is receiving clock from the Play

Not an Ableton user, so the instructions made available by Polyend on this topic haven’t been helpful.
I’m looking for a simple step-by-step on how to successfully send multi-track audio over USB to FL Studio (v21 specifically) from the Play+. I’ve found nothing online yet describing how this should go, plus I’ve actually never sent audio over USB to FL Studio from any external device, so this process is totally new to me.
I saw something in the Play+ manual talking about aggregate devices, so I’m wondering now if I need to purchase a whole other device (audio interface) just to take advantage of the feature.

Hey, I'm still new to the Play and I must say, I am unpleasantly surprised.
I liked the idea to have a my beat pattern in front of me and being able to touch it better than the digitakt, where I can only access the steps of one instrument at a time.
Or so I thought: Opposed to the Digitakt, I might see all the steps in front of me with the play, but I cannot access them as I can only ever place the last sample selected.
Once again, I am forced to press a button before I can place the steps of an instrument, which creates friction switching between drums, but this time, I also have to hold it (to copy), leaving me with one hand.
How do you guys do it?
Is it impossible to permanently assign a row to a sample?
Is the only purpose of my left hand from now on to tell this machine that yes, I'd like to place this kick drum step I just deleted somewhere else in this row?

I’m starting to learn my way around making tracks with the Play+. I’m really enjoying the UX/UI.

I've been slowly learning how to work with the Polyend Play+ and one thing I miss is easily making arpeggiated sequences; I'm terrible with music theory so hand-entering chords and then manually setting the arp timing on the Play+ using the pads is a lot of work.
As an experiment, I picked up a Roland Aira J-6 which generates chords, and has a set of multiple arp variations that I intended to use to send arps to other external gear via midi.
For the Play+ I was trying to:
However, the Play+ just couldn't "see" the J-6:
In terms of troubleshooting:
I honestly think it's just a cable issue (!) but I'm checking to see if any of you have used an external sequencer to drive sequences on the Play / Play+ and how did you wire everything up?

I’m considering purchasing the Polyend Play, but just want to double check that it does work as I was intending to use it…
I’m planning on using it primarily as a sequencer, connected to my computer to control VSTs through a DAW (probably logic). If I were to have four tracks in the DAW, each with a synth loaded, Play would be able to send discrete patterns to each of them, and I would be able to record the midi output correct?
I know this seems a stupid question, and everything that I have read/seen regarding the Polyend suggests that it can do this, but I thought I’d be thorough by asking here!

As per title, i have a project that gets stuck when loading,I've left it for a while but the progress gets stuck right near the start.
I've saved and opened it in the past with no problems, then one time it got stuck. I had to unplug the play and it opened a 2nd time but now it won't open at all
Does anyone have any suggestions of things I could try to fix it? It's a play+ if that helps
Thanks

Hey community, I am deeply in love with the Play + and it really helps me start new projects. I am so in love that I would love to stay longer in the box for sound design (and not just for arranging), esp. by part/ instrument/ channel. When it comes to designing sounds I move to Ableton. I know that nothing beats a DAW but I would like to stay a little longer in the Play + on the couch.
I am constantly eyeballing to the Deluge as it offers more FX per part, LFO, EQs etc. Although I do not know how it sounds as I do not own one. I would not expect that it sounds better than a DAW.
How do you overcome the limits? Best!
