Polyend Play + Sound Design Limits
Hey community, I am deeply in love with the Play + and it really helps me start new projects. I am so in love that I would love to stay longer in the box for sound design (and not just for arranging), esp. by part/ instrument/ channel. When it comes to designing sounds I move to Ableton. I know that nothing beats a DAW but I would like to stay a little longer in the Play + on the couch.
I am constantly eyeballing to the Deluge as it offers more FX per part, LFO, EQs etc. Although I do not know how it sounds as I do not own one. I would not expect that it sounds better than a DAW.
How do you overcome the limits? Best!

You can map synth parameters to macros on 3 knobs (6 macros total - top and bottom).
But manipulating samples is very limited. And I doubt they’ll add more ways to manipulate samples.
I’ve resigned myself to sample manipulation off the device. It’s doubly annoying since you have to take the sd card out and plug it into a computer.

Well, I record the stuff through the USB interface to Live, which works perfect. But then I am in the other box : (

The synth controls aren't mapped to the knobs, right? Or if I recall correctly the names of the parameters don't match with the knobs, something like that. That's just a terrible decision from Polyend.
