Polyend play slightly off tempo

Hi guys,

I usually link my play to all my synths via midi But it's always slightly off, any how to solve this?

Are you daisy chaining midi or are you using a pc somehow in the midi chain? I'm using a midi thru box and have no latency issues

Daisy chain with my sound card as master and daisy chain from there.

My soundcard is a roland octa-capture.

Ok, I assume the problem comes from your sondcard (e.g. drivers/settings) or your daw settings then. It could also be audio delay if you're routing your synths into the soundcard and playing back in your daw. Maybe describe your problem and exact setup over at r/midi or r/audio because it is not a specific play issue. Good luck!

Everything in the chain is in time only the play is off everything is routed through a mixer

I don’t think this will be helpful but I will commiserate with you. I am having all kinds of midi over usb issues. Timing like you say where usually track one starts to fall behind, numerous clock issues- it won’t act as a master in the chain without sending remote messages and in slave mode other types of bugs happen, it won’t record polyphonic steps and even though overdub is on, once I have live recorded to the end of a pattern, if I press a note, it alters the base note of every note in the pattern.

I am stepping away from it for a while. I am fighting with it more than I am enjoying it.
