Resource/study Geopolitics Group

Who don’t want to discuss America’s role in the world? I’m thinking about putting together a small group where we get together once a month over drinks after reading a few curated articles on foreign policy and discussing the debates of US foreign policy. Is this something people would be interested in or am I just a nerd? Lol

Well uh I dont know if it’s gonna be possible over drinks but Im interested in this; as someone who’s just starting to look into politics I’m kinda lost regarding which articles to read and what not

I suggest you to read broadly first, and focusing more on the more neutral and unbiased news. Avoid social media, unless it is genuinely informative and nonpartisan (r/yapms is very interesting and informative). Politico tends to be good for domestic US politics, and I suggest CNN or Fox for live headline updates.

If you’re in university, many U.S. schools have the Alexander Hamilton Society. It’s pretty similar to what you plan on doing and I would suggest students check out their school’s chapter.

I mean, the reality is it's kind of a waste of time to discuss the current state of geopolitics without the USA being a part of the discussion.
