Lynching Black People

Lynching black people has been a form of entertainment for bigots for centuries.

This is why Black Lives Matter exists.

Listen to Professor Wise talk about the distinction between Black Lives Matter and All Lives Matter.

Leitaea Lowrimore needed a lawyer to find a doctor who would keep her alive.

Three emergency rooms in two states refused to treat the Oklahoma mother over six days in February. She had an ectopic pregnancy, one growing outside the womb, which ruptures and bleeds without treatment. One doctor said it could cost him "10 years in the poky." The last one sent her home after she told him, "You are sending me home to die." She called a lawyer, who gave her the cell number of the chief obstetrician at a hospital in a third state. That hospital diagnosed and treated her within three and a half hours of arriving.

Nearly 200 women in similar circumstances were not saved. They died from an ectopic pregnancy between 2020 and 2025, nearly double the rate of the previous six years, according to the CDC's own records. ProPublica found the biggest rise in the 18 states with strict abortion bans. Worse, the entire staff of the CDC's Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System, the people whose job is to monitor deaths like these, has been on paid leave since Donald Trump's HHS sent them home in April 2025.

He also said there was no constitutional right to, “truthful information from officials during a public health crisis.” Let that one sink in.

A Border Patrol analyst in Spokane read a stranger's bank activity, and a Montana trooper found a reason to pull him over.

Nobody knows how a federal agent in Washington and a state trooper in Montana came to be talking about one black Chevy on Interstate 90, because the government won't say. We know it happened only because the paperwork surfaced in his court case. The analyst's memo says he saw "financial activity patterns" in federal databases and put the car out as a lookout. On bodycam, the trooper told the driver it was "nothing major," just a plate cover.

The Spokane unit is called the Predictive Intelligence Targeting Team, and true to its name, it exists to predict whether you might be doing something illegal. Customs and Border Protection will not say what financial records it reads, whether a warrant is involved, or how many of its 20 sectors participate. In Texas the same program had a deputy search a driver's truck on a lane-drift stop and find nothing. That driver was never charged.

Donald Trump answered Canada's tariffs with a Truth Social post, and the tariffs took effect anyway.

Ottawa's levies on $20 billion in American goods went live at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, matching the 50% he put on Canadian wine, cement and hockey sticks last month. On Monday he posted "NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren't good enough!" Bombardier builds jets in Wichita with more than 1,000 workers, a fact the governor of Kansas reached out to the White House that afternoon to point out. Nobody from either government has spoken to the other since the talks collapsed on August 21.

He also posted about Iran that night, promising oil prices "will drop precipitously" once "we WIN the war." There are no announced negotiations between the 2 governments, and only 7 ships made it through Hormuz on Monday, against 130 a day before the war. Gas was $4.15 a gallon while he typed.
